Way. The Rocks have 5 of their 12 signed players who can play the 2. That's a long line for Scales to wait in for playing time. He would be better served by trying to catch on somewhere else.

I'd swap Amaechi and Cornell, but other than that...I think we have it.

As great as Scales has looked I just don't think he has any chance of making this team. We just have too many people playing the 2 and the 3. Wilks will probably make it because we need a back up point guard. I could see either Cornell or Muoneke making it on to the IR as well just in case we need another big man. Aren't we allowed 3 players on the IR?

Alex Scales will definitely be on an NBA roster this year though. As soon as we waive him somebody else is going to sign him. He's just played entirely too well.

For those of you hoping Boki or Moochie gets cut, good luck on that. They have gaurunteed contracts. Financially it just doesn't make sense to let them go unless we can get a replacement for them that is just FAR AND AWAY superior. I'm thinking Wilks looks better than Moochie, but I don't know that he looks so much better the Rockets are going to want to cut Moochie and eat the rest of his contract like they did with Maloney. In the case of Nachbar, he's a gaurunteed contract and there is no reason yet to give up hope that he'll develop. I'm sure they're hoping that by the end of his contract he'll at least develop into a key roleplayer off the bench. If not, then he won't be re-signed. But I'd be very surprised if either of them don't finish their contracts here in Houston.

Wilks is good enough to make a different team higher than IR. he wont stick around for a spot where he wont get any pt.

As mentioned already, Wilks should be signed, and make Mooch sit on IR and see if he cant earn his PT during practice.

I like Scales a lot, but with the amount of guaranteed contracts among the 2/3 position..I doubt he makes it.(I hope I'm wrong)
