Can't really blame the guy when he's playing most of the game and drawing double teams constantly. Then again, he still needs to relentlessly attack the basket in the 4th and draw a foul.

 

How about someone ELSE making a shot? ONly person who hit a couple was Shane. They are determined not to let tmac get to the basket. Someone has to help.

McGrady has run out of gas in both games 3 quarters in. The Jazz just take him away in the fourth. His ass needs to get back in shape.

 

He didn't choke at all. He gets doubled on almost every play because the Jazz can afford to not guard Hayes or whoever else is setting the screen. You know very little about basketball if you can't see this.

 

Kind of hard to score when they keep doubling you on every PNR, and through the first 3 quarters your team needs 22/12/9/2/2 just to stay close to the opposing team.

T-Mac was phenomenal for 3 quarters.

I have to agree, though. There is no way our best player can come up empty like that in both of these games and expect us to win either.

 

No, it was "fatigue". That's why he was 2 feet from the basket and passed the ball.

Seriously though, it isn't all on Tracy. The Jazz are just better and we have no margin for error. Tracy can't do what he used to do and that's just the way it is.

 

Count on it happening every single game. He isn't "superman", he can't play nearly the whole game all-out against guys that keep bumping and slapping at him and STILL have much legs in the fourth.

If you're looking for someone who can play 48 minutes a night unaffected, McGrady is definitely not your man.

I rarely say anything negative about T-Mac, but your best player has to have more of an impact at the most critical time of the game.

 

lol yeah, tmac not being able to score over double teams and on tired legs after putting up 23, 13, and 9 + 3 steals and 2 blocks was the reason we lost.

id rather see him playing poorly at the first half and coming back at the second, notching down several huge shots
