How many players do we have on roster at this moment?

I was looking at some things on Justin Reed.

He's 6-9 240.

He has a 7-2 wingspan and decent athletic scores.

He's considered a defensive specialist by many scouts.

So if unfortunately because of money issues he's kept over Landry that might not be that bad.

At least Reed should be a legit third string PF.

I do hope though that Les just pays whatever and Harris and Landry duke it out for the spot. Hell Landry came in at 6-9 250 in shoes and has a 37 inch vertical. Hayes and Scola lack in the athletic department.

One thing Yao could really use is that athlete 4 next to him. Landry is in the McDyess/Amare range in that department. It would seem to be foolish to drop him just because of money but with Les(s) you know how he can be.

If it was up to me I'd go with:

PG Francis/James/Brooks
SG McGrady/Head/Snyder
SF Battier/Wells/Novak
PF Scola/Hayes/Landry
C Yao/Mutombo/Butler

And I'd just cut Sura, Harris, Lucas III, Reed and trade Alston for a 2nd rounder and TE.

ps. I dont think he is really a PF.He is more of a SF but I think he can play and defend PF pretty well.

 

Too many for now, but expect Reed, Alston, Lucas, and maybe Snyder to be traded.
