And let us review the backtrack: Here are the minor adjustments: Sounds plausible. Lunar Rover looks nothing like the Luna 17, but who cares. Observatory sounds official and he seems to have a great memory of it for being so drunk. Realizing he is caught at this point. Trying to end it. Decides it is better to give a reason for the BS he spewed.
Buzz Aldrin is on Turner Classic Movies right now, introducing Capricorn One, the film which arguably touched off a lot of this conspiracy nonsense, as the capper to TCM's day of moon-landing films. Awesome.
No, you lied about it. You made a mistake on the Lunar Rover when you meant Luna 17. The part about looking at it through your telescope was just a fabrication. I knew I should have pressed you for details on his observatory so you could describe further how large and awesome it was.
The Moon Landing is real. Republican Presidents can't fake ****. Nixon got caught breaking into the Watergate Hotel and Bush got caught making up a story about African countries having Uranium. Can't cover up ****. Democrats can kill Kennedy and blame it on some random communist, or kill half of Arkansas with no excuse at all, and never get anything tied to them. A Dem could fake a Moon landing. A republican? Never.
No, wrong....I recall him buying it, and being at his house talking about it and looking through his telescope. I just mixed the two events together, as there was much drinking involved. But whatever, you think what you like....I mean this is the internet we are all in great shape and dating a super model, right? DD
Interesting take on how the modern media would have handled the moon landing Check the Twitter messages... pretty funny <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/dClpox7qinI&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/dClpox7qinI&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>
I avoid political threads like the plague. Same with religion threads and the same with conspiracy threads, but this one draws me in. I can't help it, because I feel very strongly about the importance of science. I also feel strongly about the importance of asking questions and being inquisitive, nothing wrong with that, but this particular conspiracy has been debunked so completely, so thoroughly, that anyone who honestly believes the moon landing was faked is an idiot. Thank you, that is all.
I'm not sure if anyone has said this yet...and I apologize in advance if they have...but: that's no moon.
