It seems like I was right about you. You are clearly just a complete T-Mac lover and you just want this season's for the Rockets to fail. You are just like every other T-Mac fan out there. You want this Rocke team to fail so you can act like T-Mac is the MVP of the team, when he clearly isn't.
Still miss T-Mac, there will be a game in the playoffs where T-Mac could really help us, just watch, it'll happen.
I miss him because it was more entertaining when he used to play, even if he stunk. I think 2009-2010 season will be his last in Houston and will play a decent stretch. He's still my favorite player in the NBA.
i miss the old tmac that took over games and scored at will. i dont miss the depressing miserable old man mclady.
tmac isnt playing on this team right now. we should not even discuss him. When he is healthy and not getting tired in the playoffs, then maybe we can talk about him. Go Rox!
I think the criticism for Tracy is a little overdone. It's true that this season has been a disaster for him. But can you say the same for the other 4 seasons he's been with us? Just last season, Tracy was playing at a MVP level (yes, its hard to believe) and leading us to 22 wins in a row, almost half the games without Yao. And although we again failed in the playoffs, most of us Clutchfans came to the conclusion that we can't pin the failure on Tmac exclusively. He has always given his all for this team in the playoffs. But because of bad rebounding, injuries, bad luck, or whatever reason, this team has not been able to advance in the playoffs. IMO Tracy can still be one the most dominant scorers in the game if he works hard in rehab. Remember that this season a hobbled McGrady was still able to put up a few 30 point games and triple-double games. I'm not denying the fact this he's had a horrible season. I question his work ethic in preparation for the season, his commitment to running a more fluid offense, and his defensive effort. Hopefully, he can bounce back and stay injury-free... but how many times have we said that? We'll just have to see how Tracy responds next year.
I don't miss watching him because I really like the tougher play of the team right now. But I would love to have him back and see him play with this team. He really took a bad rap this year, he was injured and shouldn't have been out there. Nobody can tell how bad someone is injured, so to judge them like they can in wrong. This team is a lot deeper than last year and I think we can make a real push in the playoffs.
This poll should be restarted at the end of the season, how we do in PO and (if we lose) HOW we lose will have a lot to do with this. I think the poll must not be about the highlights but about if it´s better or not for the team to bring him back or bring new blood (or letting him stay at home until his contract expires). I would love T-Mac to accept a Ginobili kind of role, he is more fitted for this than Artest, and his body is asks for less PT. Too bad i don´t see this happening.
out of sight, out of mind.....I recently saw the 13pts/34secs SA game & it made me miss his game. 1st place, I'm over it
Yes. Yes. A thousand times. There is no doubt in my mind that this team with a healthy T-Mac would dominate the league.
I miss McGrady! Our last second plays are always bad because we have NOONE to take a shot. We don't have a reliable player who can create his own shot. RonRon can sometimes, but often jacks up a shot from a weird angle. Who else on this team do you trust to take a contested jumper? Brooks is a decent shooter but gets blocked a lot. I personally don't trust Wafer enough for him to take the last jumper. Lowry is a poor piss three point shooter.
It's not like Scola, Brooks, or Yao have hit big shots at the end of games... I still love T-Mac (the REAL T-Mac, not the guy the Rockets had this season), but I think Luther Head said it best when he said that the Rockets' other players DO defer to him a LOT. His being gone allows them to step up.
Well, seeing as the title is asking whether or not *I* miss McGrady playing, I do. I believe he's got plenty of game in him left. I think this season has just gone wrong and there's plenty of blame to go around for that. More Rockets related, I think the team will miss a person with McGrady's skill set. If you are just set in your mind that McGrady is worthless, then you are hating the person. Because if you brought someone else in with his skill set, this team would be pretty damn tough. I mean Lakers wouldn't look so dominate if that were the case. I, also, think the Anti-McGrady sentiment around the fan base is a bit overdone. You'd think the guy came in and we've had 20-win seasons. The only non-winning season we had was the one where he was hurt for a sizeable chunk of games (along with Yao). Now that he's not around, it's funny how the criticism is starting to fall everywhere else. Yao this, Brooks that, Wafer this, Artest that.
You know some people sure seem to have short memories. I just can't believe some of the venom I read reguarding T-Mac. Sure sometimes it was hard to watch some of the things that went down where he was concerned. I also questioned his heart and willingness to do what it takes to win. I thought that he slowed the game down way to much when he brought the ball up. I thought he did not play good D at times. Then I took a step back and put myself in his shoes. The man was hurt. I mean come on. It plain and simple, there a lot of things you can play with in basketball, but a bad knee is not one of them. I am no where near the player he is, but I tried playing with a hurt knee and it was impossible. I don't care what your paycheck is, if you are injured it will take a toll on your game. I remember the last game of the playoffs last year vs Utah and T-Mac seemed to be the only one to show up and play with any heart. He was hurt in that game and so were other players, but he was the one to show up. So forgive me if I give him the benifit of doubt. Ad to that he is still apart of this team and until he takes off the Rockets jersey he will have my support. If anyone needs any proof of a player being written off when they are hurt see D-Wade.
