let's see how our guards play in the playoffs.

the irony of all this is that back in the day people complained about kenny smith and his olay defense.

it turns out kenny smith was the most stable PG we ever had.

    The irony.

    (Random)
I would kill to have a 25 year old Steve Francis on THIS team.

If people are so adament to get rid of Tracy, Artest should go aswell. We should then make a play with our 20mill+ of cap space in Free Agency.

That is the dumbest thing I've heard. Tmac and Artest are two totally different players. When tmac shot is not falling he finds way to help his teammates while artest will dribble the ball for 23 seconds looking at the ground then shoot a fadaway falling over. Tmac>Artest.

Without tracy passing the ball, Yao can only get about 10 to 20 points per game

that's the only thing he can do better than the playoff tracy i guess. was tracy ever been lit up to the tune of 42 pts, considering he has guarded dirk, glen robinson, chauncey, and the likes?

oh yea, he jacks up more 3s than tracy. i thought that was impossible

artest took some bad shots, but he took some good ones too.
somebody has to shoot the ball if we can't get Yao going.

I don't understand why people try to compare Ron to T-Mac. 2 completely different players.

he took 8 3s tinman??? after taking 6 in the 1st game??

and those somebody can be scola, brooks, or wafer, who shot better than him. the thing i wish he would understand is "defer" when you have a not so good shooting game. we have talent on this team.

if he played with rafer, or a no-show in luther in the playoffs, then you can live with ron taking those shots. but we have a TON OF SCORING OPTIONS outside of yao for him to take 20 shots, and 8 of them 3s.

a player of artest's stature, esp. this year, should take no more than 12-13 shots, regardless if he's hot or not.

subtract 1 three for that half court end of quarter shot.

ron didn't have that bad of a game. The Rockets couldn't hit their free throws.

    game over.

Subtract another 3 for Brooks running out the shot clock and Ron having to immediately release the ball when it hit his hands.

I hate to feed into the Brooks bashing but it's fact. Ron isn't perfect but neither was McEgo.

    Or play defense.

    51% shooting.

Rockets hold the Blazers to 45% shooting they win. With Yao only scoring 11 points. With all those missed FTs.

Whats been the staple of the Rockets the last few years?? Defense. What let them down today??? Defense.

Look how close this poll has become!

Same type of "me against the crowd" or "look at me, I'm a hero" type chucker shots maybe?

    Seems to fit sometimes.

We need a team leader that is less selfish than either of them.

Take into account that most of McGrady's shots come from just inside the three point line and it becomes crystal clear that Artest's selection, while undesirable, is nowhere near as bad.

Artest shoots those 22 footers as well, but he will go on the block more, and also seems more likely to shoot the 15-18 footers. I just wish he could stay away from those 22 footers. Its like either get behind the line, or scoot in 3 feet.
