Holy cow, I thought I was the only geek. But I went to school a generation before you did. The only stopped doing the slide rule contest a year before I entered high school IIRC. :)

I knew which one. I just wanted to clarify what school. I also attended UH. No biggie

I remember Milby traditionally beating the H3LL out of Austin in football homecoming games at Barnett Stadium. :D

    rimbaud,

What year did you graduate. I didn't really learn how to read at Sharpstown. I had to go to college to figure out everything else. Getting to college was the hard part though.

I wonder how Sharpstown is now.

Well, at Austin we used to have the more intellectual types. :p
All kidding aside, my sister went to Austin when Ken Spain was there (of UH, Guy Lewis, Elvin Hayes, "Game of the Century" fame). I was going to bring him up, as I think they had a more than decent basketball program at the time, but I couldn't find what I wanted on Google. (it failed me! ) That was before my time, but not much. I'm just having fun. It's unbelievable how much Austin, along with many other Houston high schools, has changed. Just amazing.

You're still like 80 years older than me, but yeah, I was BM'ed there. Damn I kind of miss the obsessively kosher food that they had after every service. Well I kind of miss all of the food in Tejas. :(

nope...I had some other stuff going on that weekend...and there werent that many people that I cared to see..;)

Most of the people I hung with were from 81 and 82...with a smattering of 84s thrown in for fun..

I may go to the next one just for giggles since I plan on being in better shape than I was in HS by then.

I would love to see some of them asses I didnt get along with being bald and fat..:D

It is soon not to be a school...it will be some kind of vaocational half-way house or something. Apparently since nobody graduates anymore, they have given up on it. The windows have been bricked in so it is more like a prison. I can't remember anything else I have heard through my HISD connections.

By the way, my sister was your year.
