Hey, we always had a great baseball team.

I'd pimp that before the National Merit Scholars. ;)

Class of 89, by the way.

I went to several math contests there, graduated from a little town called Alvin in 84, though. Some guy from Bellaire was one of my rivals.

My mom was the guidance counselor at Furr on the east side for many years. She then worked as the head of secondary guidance counseling for quite a while before finishing her first time through as vice principal at Sam Houston. She came back for two years to run HISD's drug free schools program. She's now out for good.

My dad taught at Westbury YEARS ago - English - but spent most of his teaching career as a hospital-homebound teacher working with kids out of school for extended periods of time. Most of his kids were from schools on the north side - Booker T. Washington, Sam Houston, Scarborough, Waltrip - and some inside the loop - Lamar, Crittendon, etc.

They are both out and happy though my dad is teaching in college now.

Grad '91 from Brazoswood (south of Houston) went there all of 9th, last six-weeks of 10th, last six weeks of 11th, and all of 12th.

One (almost full) year north of Houston (Aldine MacArthur 10th grade)

One (almost full) year in Gulf Breeze Florida (district football champs) in 11th grade.

Throw in one year of (by choice, for driver's ed) summer school at Milton Florida, and that's 4 HS's in 4 yrs.

Dad grad from Reagan HS in HISD in 1964.

I think people who go to Austin have some kind of inferiority complex cuz the Buffs are always kicking their asses in sports.
The only time you guys come close to giving us a good game is during homecoming and that's it.
All my uncles and aunts went SFA and all my cousins went to Milby and we still give each other ****.
It doesn't matter what kind of crap they give me the facts speak for themselves. Milby by far is the best Baketball HS in Houston and good lord willing they will be state champs this year.
Milby is also one of the most diverse schools and Houston.

I will go as far to say that in some ways we are a good example of what Houston is all about. good and bad.

    p.s. F*** da mustangs

F all the HISDers. Westfield High School (Spring ISD) class of 2000. klein was our hated rival in math competitions. me and my friend could handle them, our school just didn't have their depth, though.

bellaire, i remember we beat them at a quiz team (quiz team and math team, yes i am cool) thing when i was a sophomore. it was a huge upset. then my senior year we made it to the finals of two tournaments and both times bellaire beat us by like 1 or 2 questions. funny cuz one time we even knew about 1/3 of the questions before they were asked (somehow some of our practice questions were in the competitions).
