    100% agree

I was scared sitting in a nice chushy seat with my large drink and popcorn..can you even begin to imagine what it must of been like riding in those landing crafts and meeting that wall of shrapnel?

those men had more courage in their little pinky than most of us have total

    Yep.

I had 3 ( great) uncles who fought on D-Day. They would never talk to me about it, despite my profession and interest. I didn't really understand why not until I saw that film, which brought home to me the inability of anyone to convey the experience in words. Other phrases which a career in military history will render lifeless, like 'blood and gts'. 'the water was red with blood', 'blown apart', etc. also became realized to me.

I know I have a certain kind of courage...the in the moment, see trouble and react kind of courage. I have done many 'brave' things in my life, of which I am sort of proud, but mostly indifferent as there wasn't\y any thought involved, like seeing a women being attacked by armed men and intervening, etc.

But the kind of courage those men have...the one which comes with foresight, and foreknowledge. With living with the danger for hoursr, days, or weeks before the act, and still following through...that is the kind of courage I doubt I have. To run at the guns when everything on your body is screaming for self-preservation, alerted as it is by forethought...blows my mind, and makes me feel small.

I'd be interested to hear from the people who voted that they have seen zero of these movies. If that's true then that is pretty amazing.

yeah, i hate when they try to entertain us. i mean, entertainment is NOT what i go to movies for.

i've seen 44. there are 3 or 4 (like ghost) that i've only seen parts of on tv and such but i counted them b/c i've seen big enough chunks. the six i have not seen at all are:

Spiderman (surprisingly since i have friends who really like it)
both Harry Potter's (not surprisingly since i hate harry potter)
    Finding Nemo
    Goldmember
    My Big Fat Greek Wedding

and like Chance, it's amazing looking at the list how many i've seen numerous times.

Well, say bye-bye to the Exorcist. Passion of the Christ is ALREADY at #47 after only two weekends of release. I think it will end up top 5 when it's all said and done
