I say they win 52-53 games in the regular season with the 3rd or 4th seed.

57 wins but it will not surprise me if the team finally breaks the team record ever and gets 60 plus.

IMHO, if the Rockets would had been able to have Kevin Martin all of last season, we would have won 48+ games. Now we have Martin, Yao, Miller, an improved Hill/Chase, Patterson, Ish and Lee. We have our defensive identity back to go along with our offense. Everyone is healthy and ready to go. 58-60 wins ;)

52 wins, but I'd love to be proven to be overly cautious.

My heart says 57 games but more likely 54 if healthy and not two many last minutes screw ups at the end of games.

Good chance this will be the Rockets opening day depth chart, with one or two possible exceptions on the third team:

    HTML:
    Position First Second Third

Point Guard Aaron Brooks	Kyle Lowry Ishmael Smith
Shooting Guard	Kevin Martin	Courtney Lee	Jermaine Taylor
Small Forward	Shane Battier	Chase Budinger	Mike Harris
Power Forward	Luis Scola	Chuck Hayes	Jared Jeffries
Center Yao Ming	Brad Miller	Jordan Hill
Patrick Patterson and whoever else to the D-League or cut. Could be that they cut Mike Harris and keep Patterson on the Rockets. However, this depth chart is so solid and well balanced that it would be a shame to mess it up. When there is an opportunity for Patterson to get some actual playing time later in the season, he can be brought up.

By then, things will have probably changed a bit, so it would be hard to speculate about what moves will need to be made at that time. But Jermaine Taylor and Mike Harris do appear to be the 14th and 15th men on the above roster.

I think the East has it harder than the West. With that said, I think the Rockets should have no problems making the play-offs, which is probably another reason why they are limiting Yao's minutes.

The problem with this team will be getting home-court advantage. I think they can get 52 wins this season but will be seeded 4th. This team is the deepest I've seen in my years watching them. I'm very curious to see what happens near the trading deadline if some players don't work out like Morey and Adelman thought out.

Best of luck to the Rockets this season and hopefully they aren't hurt too bad by the injury bug as well. It's bound to happen as some point, but hopefully it's not (out for the season) type of deal.

    55.

I think the Blazers, Suns and Nuggets begin to fall off this season.

I wasn't sure about games 3-4 of the Finals. I didn't want to screw up my predictions too bad. ;)
