You have been living under a rock. That my easy comeback too. You have nothing to say because it is true. Time to pay up for Morey on some of his moves or the Rockets need to consider a new GM. Someone who can get deals done and not offend our players and waiting for them to devalue themselves or get injured before he acts. This is going on years. Those who oppose those ideals have been overwhelmed already with evidence against their views supporting this 500 team staying the course.

When are you gonna stop blaming Morey and actually come up with someone to replace him? Its easy to point your finger at the "problem," lets see you find a way to fix it. Who is available that would do a better job than Morey?

People wake up, Martin is the best scorer we have, why do u wanna trade him?
quote me on this- Lowry is a midget and is fool's gold, scola is too old. every other asset on the team is either offensively one sided or defensively one sided. Martin is one sided too, but he's the best scorer we got, who else do u think u can get for him. Go ahead and think--i'll wait

    where is the option:
Trade him as soon as possible. He will probably go back to the last year's level but his defense was terrible.

we never got Martin for his defense. Its well known that he has zero d since he was a king, everyone knows that. We got him cos the whole freaking team was defensive minded with no scorer and we needed someone to replace t-mac's scoring

Where's the I never wanted him in the first place option.

He is a paper star if ever there was one, big numbers, big salary, minimal impact,

I hated his game before the rule adjustment cut him off. If he was even a mediocre defender, he would be a damn good player, but he can't even manage mediocrity.

Without a star in the front court, he and the team are wasting each others' time. No hard feelings.

Rockets already tried to trade him. I'm sure DM is just waiting for a suitable trade. Can't give him up without anything in return.

Overpay already. Load him up and Scola and get started on that rebuilding process. Take a talented youngster or a decent 1st round draft pick. Tank the season because we lost so much in the trade. You make up for what you lost in the trade by actually moving up the draft board to go for an even better talent. Its risk reward. Give these other youngsters we are overloaded with more playing time to go along with the raise in their overall stock from stats they get for more playing time.

In fact act like you are throwing in Budinger just for giggles to sweeten the deal for them if you have to. Say, "here, oh by the way here is Budinger too and the Marcus Morris. Now can I have your top 10 pick and or insert young good players name here_____?"

Make the deal and tank. Get a few first round picks and one very high one. Start over.

Should have traded him last year, right around when people were debating whether he was a "superstar" and better than Melo

People do realize that just because a team wants to trade a player, that player doesn't get traded the next game, right? Just because Kevin Martin is still a Rocket doesn't mean the management wants him here long term. Morey doesn't go around talking about who he's trading to the press everyday. And usually deals don't get done before the trade deadline anyway.

Also, trading a player while his stock is low is the type of stupidity that's only prevalent among internet armchair GMs.

Yes we didn't get him for his defense. But we got him because we had a coach who didn't really care that much about defense.

Why we got him doesn't matter I prefer my SG being able to defend or create for others. He isn't able to do either.

His lack of defense, and lack of being able to create for someone else makes him a glorified role player (basically a rich man's version of Kyle Korver). So i'm in favour of trading him.

I also want Lee to get more minutes

KMart is an elite player offensively and there is no point trading him if you don't get something good in return. Get a quality big and Martin will thrive

Dudes I do not mean to burst your bubble but do we just want to be an average team forever or become a championship team. Lets see all championship teams have elite talent somewhere on their team. One guy who can score and defend. K Mart is not I repeat not that guy. With this teams makeup we are in desperate need of a superstar player at either the 2, 3, or 4. Please the comment about him being an elite scorer but plays no defense are really getting old. What does that mean on a team where none of your big stars are good defenders save Lowry. We need a superstar who can score and defend even if it means breaking up this team to do it. K Mart is not what this team needs at this time or in the future.

I love Clutchfans. YES! BUY HIGH! SELL LOW! WOOOOOOO!

Realistically speaking, Martin was supposed to be a good #2/3 guy on a team that surrounded him with a solid defense and a low post threat. Y'know...the team we used to have before Yao's legs combusted. It is true that he's not going to be a key piece for us now because we lack all that. Doesn't mean that you bail out when he's playing his worst basketball. When he adjusts his game a bit, he'll still be a valuable piece to a team that DOES have that stuff.
