If so, we can finally say we're deep at one position.

I'd like to point out the fact that we want so badly to get rid of the guy who is getting more minutes than the guy in the doghouse for apparently playing so poorly. What the hell? Please tell me this is what they refer to as "showcasing", otherwise... wow.

I agree. I was just responding to all the negative comments being poured out on Taylor & the statements that he's worth nothing to another team. Too much emotional drivel going on here. :D

What an idiot Van Gundy was to sign Mo to that enormous contract.

Kenny Thomas is a nice player, but he doesn't fix any of the Rockets problems. He may bring down some more rebounds then MoT, but he is not the "enforcer" on the boards and on defense that we need.

In other words, Cato with a jumper.

    Rudy/CD did. His point exactly.

Please. KT lost his starting job and put up a huge pout over in Sixer land. The only reason he's playing now is because of an injury. He won't amount to anything.

I hated KT. He thought he could shoot three pointers, and was sadly mistaken. He was a black hole, Yao never touched the ball after it was thrown to him. Atleast Mo T understands that Yao is the better player.

    EG, KT, or Mo?

If it weren't for all the legal troubles and psychological problems, I'd say Eddie. But I'm not going to sit here and say we made a mistake letting him go, his conduct was unacceptable. I'd go with Mo, still.

Thomas is not the answer here. I wonder if we could get Dale Davis from Golden State for MoT, Lue, Bowen, and other junk? Does Golden State really think they can attract a big name with their cap space?

Or maybe a blockbuster, get Davis, Robinson, and Pietrus for MoT and some combination of Mutombo, Lue, Nachbar, Padgett, Bowen, Ward.

Golden State gets a bunch of expiring contracts and a scorer with a couple years left along with the potential of Nachbar. We get a backup center/forward in Davis who would start for us and actually board along with his expiring contract, a 3 point shooter and defender in Robinson, and a defensive specialist in Pietrus.

Davis would be our starting 4 and backup 5, with Howard, Spoon, and Robinson our other bigs?????? We may need to sign Lonny Baxter or some other big off the street.

Dude Juwan Howard sucks. Open your eyes. Pete Chillcutt can go 17 and 7 on all the garbage time Juwan had being on the Wizards/Nuggets/Magic. Guess what Juwan did for all of those teams? They ALL GOT #1-3 picks cause he ball hogged and grabbed his own rebound on 7 missed shots every night. Plus how much garbage points do you get on a really bad team? tons.

You can hate on JVG system all you want. granted its ugly but dont be blinded by stats. Mo has sucked on the boards cause he's mainly an offensive player. We need a Cato type player again to compliment Yao. Oh CATO has 18 rebounds the other night.

Mo T no value? If MoT has no value, what value do the below have other than T-Mac and Yao? We have a pretty weak hand as far as our ability to make any kind of trade let alone one that will help this team in any major way. The T-Mac trade has definitely been a 2 step back/1 step forward trade. I think we are at least 2 impact players (Rashard Lewis/Stromile Swift) away from contending but we won't get them by way of trade.

    Ward - Lue - Barrett - Sura
    Boki - T-Mac - Ditumbo - JJ - Bowen - Spoon
    Yao - Padgett - Howard - Gaines

Funny, I remember last year when the T-Mac/Francis trade first came up and I wrote that I wasn't in favor of the trade if we had to include Cato in a trade knowing that the Magic needed a big man. I got ripped for writing that but I told you so.

I didn't rip you. But I don't think the deal should have hinged on Cato, and I'm glad it didn't. Great, Cato had 18 boards. Great, he's getting rebounds in a system where he can play the 5 and all the other players around him score a hell of a lot of points.

Here, we need someone that can occasionally hit the J along with what Cato did. I mean, I think he would've helped obviously...but without someone hitting a J out of the 4 spot, this team would be even more lost offensively.

I agree that it would be great to have a 4 that could rebound and hit the J but the disparity in our shot attempts per game caused by our lack of rebounding is the biggest problem right now. If we had Cato and MoT coming off the bench like last year, maybe we wouldn't be discussing a GET RID OF MOT thread now.

I didn't really take offense and it was hyperbole to say you ripped me. I enjoyed your post on the trade.

You're right, the fact that JVG had to convert a Back-up center to start at the PF position because he wasn't happy with the PF's available really does say alot about the lack of respect JVG has for MoT.
