Late last night I was thinking I've had enough with Clutchfans and how much T-mac is disrespected. I woke up from my tear stained pillow after a sleepless night worrying about T-Mac and all the pain that he is going through, how no one understands him and how clutchfans just hate and hate and hate on him..

I was going to delete clutchfans.net from My Favorites who a miracle happened and this site is now dedicated to the one true b ball god T-MAC!!!

Oh that you Clutch for seeing the light and dedicating our cyber lives to the singing the praises of T-MAC!

M-hmm. Well, it's nothing very special. Uh, try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations.

I'm racing B-bob to see who will be the first to have their obit posted on Clutchfans.

When all students in Arizona pass the AIMS test. This will never happen, unfortunately. Oh well, I'll still have Clutchfans.

I was actually thinking about this the other day. I would hope that I would outgrow this addiction someday, but I honestly don't see that happening without some sort of external factors taking place. Clutch is around 35, I think. I can't see him having the energy to carry on with this for more than 10 more years. The day he sells it, the site will shift to a business model (with fluff rockets.com peices littering the frontpage) and the messageboard will slump down to ESPN level. The regulars will leave. The GARM will be beyond repair, but as all of the hangout regulars depart as well, there will be no sense of community and anyone who even wanted to stay will leave. As an unrelated aside, the fact that the Rockets will still have not passed the first round at this date will have a large role in the apathy.

It's been routine for the past decade. In some ways, you could say the only constant in life has been that open Clutchfans tab in the browser. New homes, new e-mail addresses, new computers, new browsers, windows 98 ==> windows XP ===> vista; but still opening up clutchfans first thing. will this be in virtual reality in ten years?

while i still refresh repeatedly for new news/articles, i no longer have the energy to really engage in discussion in the GARM like i used to. some of this is natural maturation while i attribute the majority to the apathy accompanying a sudden fall from contention. i'm really just tired - sure we've exceeded past anyone's wildest expectations, but it looks like another rebuilding/retooling process after such high hopes, and i'm just out of energy to care.

the real appeal for me is that the other three forums are small enough to act as basically an RSS reader. if there's any interesting general news (new gadget, movie, etc.), i know it will be in the hangout with a manageable thread size. for the most part, all major political news is in the D&D, and of course, any and all major NBA news is in the NBA dish. if there's any rockets trade rumor, it's posted in the GARM within seconds. this is all what keeps me hooked and coming back every day.

I wish they'd add an edit feature, as well as a search feature so I can find my previous posts with questions to see if they've been answered.

How old was DD before he decided to retire? He sure put some years on the clock with all the stress clutchfans put him through. But in the end its worth while. Simple men can't handle the trials and tribulations of being a cf poster, we do what we have to because we were created in a different mold and rise to the occasion when it calls for it.

Its been an honor gentleman, and hope it continues to be so.

I don't think I'll ever stop posting even though I don't post as much anymore.

That's cause up until a few days ago, the Rockets were mediocre & the Chargers are embarrassing. However, the Hangout's awesome. I always skim through the picture & the "What's up unsorted?" threads, they constantly provide me with a good laugh.
