Been here for 7 years but not a high avg poster. Im more a lurker, but CF is one my first spots I have to visit when I get the time. Especially this Hangout area.....

Anyways, I cant really see myself leaving this site. This site has been both entertaining, informative, and helpfull to me. There would have to be drastic changes for to even consider it.

Clutch....thank you for blessing us all with the true gift this site has become.

Been reading this site since I was in college, around 96 or 97, and still check the forums every single day, it's a very rare day I don't come here even if I don't post.

    Dumb thread.

As if one day I'm going to wake up and think to myself, "You know what? Today is the day I'm going to stop posting on ClutchFans... Actually, after dinner on Thursday at 7:04PM."

The only message boards I have ever left were usually disbanded, and I don't really see this place going anywhere anytime soon. Unless Clutch sells it off or something and we end up with annoying talking pop up ads, etc.

the point is do you see yourself outgrowing it one day. I guess I could have said that in the first place, but I didn't I would have someone calling the idea of the thread "dumb"

Honestly? Complete, utter, total honesty? I hope I outgrow Clutchfans someday. Life is short, and when I think back at how many hours I've spent sitting on my ass in front of a screen, refreshing this site when I'm bored, it's kind of depressing. But I really enjoy it. There's something about being able to converse with so many people at once that is just awesome. And I've met so many awesome people on here. So although I hope I eventually move on to a point in my life when I don't spend 2-3 hours a day on the internet, I doubt I will stop posting in the foreseeable future.

I wish I knew how to quit you, CF. :(

I feel similar to this. While I doubt I will ever stop coming here or posting entirely, there will probably be a point where I check the site much less frequently. The hangout board and general NBA section are too good a source of interesting news and a way to get answers/recommendations to questions to stop coming here completely.

I get this kind of feeling after a break from the site. Usually when I'm on trips for a few days/weeks w/ little internet connection.

I come back home and fire up the computer and think to myself 'why did I spend so much time on that site? I went days w/out checking it...I feel no need to visit it again.'

And I feel great, productive...and then I get curious about the latest Rockets news...and maybe check the Hangout for a minute for some laughs and weird news...and then they pull me back in.

I see myself sticking with Clutch til the end. Even though it gets tougher to talk Rockets with each (immature loudmouth) rookie that clutters the GARM, it remains my favorite place for Houston-centric talk.

It's funny how fast things can change, though. The message board that was "my soulmate" (completely different community) went from being THE only place to be to ghost town to shut down in the span of 3 years. The community itself just set up other tents that took over, and the site owners wanted to move on with their lives and didn't want to hand their baby over to others. Sucks for me. If the same were to happen here, I'd pretty much be done with message boards except for occasional lurking for specific info.

One reason I like to be sure and hit the tipjar at least once in a while.

It's weird to think about what the Rockets' roster will look like in 10 years. There will be all new players. Some that are currently 11 or 12 years old. Weeeeird.

    And I will be 32. o_O

And I might be retired. I'll still probably post though.

In 15 years. When I'll be 39, married with kids , I'm not sure I'll be able to neglect my family and spend my free time on this time anymore.

I have been reading for 10 or so years - I lurked a it before I signed up. I have never at nay time thought about how long I would do it or if it was worth it anymore. Obviously, my posting has decreased over the years but I still visit this site daily.

Oddly, I have been "friends" with some of the people on here longer than many in the real world.

Interesting thread. I have had this thought before myself.

My answer: As long as Clutch graciously takes on the burden of continuing to run this site, and as long as I will be able to visit.

I've been reading this site so long now that it has become habit -- like reading the paper or something.

Yep. I read this place more than I read any paper.

Thanks again Clutch. Keep it going.
