    Ok, Reddick is 6'4" and that was not exactly in traffic, or on a fast break, and where did you get the idea that Dragic was unathletic??

    draft report from 2007:

    Goran has great size for a PG (6-foot-4), is athletic, with good lateral quickness, and has excellent defensive fundamentals

    One more point about this - Dragic is 6'4" with a 6'7" wingspan. Lin is 6'3 with a 6'5" wingspan.

    'Dragic, a lefthander who is 6 feet 4 and 181 pounds, was property of Tau but was loaned to play in the Adriatic and Slovenian leagues last season. He has a 37 1/2-inch vertical leap and a 6-foot-7 wingspan.'

    yes, sounds very unathletic:rolleyes:

    37.5" vertical leap? Isn't that better than Vince Carter's???

    i don't go by vertical or wingspan when looking for athleticism.

    VC = 43"

    now we're getting into freak athlete territory - crazy wingspan too - not sure on measurement.

    Vertical is a big part of athletic measurement - i included wingspan is to illustrate how much higher Lin has to jump to dunk - probably has to jump about 4" higher than Dragic to do the same dunk.

    Dude - don't label me. If this guy wants to go back and forth, that's his issue. Some people just have to be right - ok - here you go, Jeremy Lin is slow and unathletic. Happy?? Now you can continue your witch hunt moron.

    Dunking every now and then just shouldn't be too difficult for any 6'3" player in the NBA.

    Wow jms99 and clarinetmonster have single handedly kept this thread alive, dualing it out like two titans of ancient Greece fighting to the death at the top of Mount Olympus while flaming Pegasus' circle about and rain fire down on humanity.

    Over Jeremy Lin....

    I'm not the one claiming every thread that there is some kind of racism in thinking that Jeremy Lin won't be successful making the transition from college to the NBA. You are the one showing us videos saying we should be so impressed by his college dunks. and look how athletic he is. Uh... he's not that athletic. And by that of course, people mean COMPARED TO OTHER NBA PLAYERS in this era, his athleticism does not impress. And of course that is compounded by the fact that he doesn't LOOK athletic when he's not moving. (as opposed to Yi Jian Lian, who does look athletic)

    All that I'm saying is that it's perfectly reasonable to have believed when they were in college, that players like Lin or Curry would not transition well into the NBA.

    Matter of fact.. Stackhouse avg 16 pts for his career and had one season where he scored about 30... Nobody really knows that about him.. nobody cares... its cause he is Bl... jk...

    But seriously, I understand Lin had a great start to his career but so have other players that are really not known that much like that ISSELL guy and the Freeman guy..
