How long will Ming stand for being a bench warmer?

And they suck because they dont want to pass the ball to a big slow turnover prone guy? I believe the only reason we are 3-2 right now is because of out guards shooting great. If our guards pass the ball to yao Ming every time he wants it in the paint we would be 0-5 right now. MING IS NOT READY FOR THE NBA. Do you have to be beat over the head to understand this? He might have been a God at basketball in china but look at the competition he had. A group of 10 year old girls could have took on the teams he was playing against. This isn't a post to bash Ming either. It's a message to the idiots who want nothing more than to see Ming play and dont care what happens to our team, and then come in here and bash our team.

Ming is in good hands. We have a great staff, and he will be a great player eventually.

I don't think anyone is not suggesting that he won't improve with more court time - he certainly would! But the Rockets would not imporve.

Belive it or not, most Rockets fans here care more about whether the team wins or loses than whether Yao gets his large behind off the bench. Sure, we want to see Yao do well, but with Cato playing well, and the team winning some games, we're content to let him take his time to get adjusted.

I don't believe Eddie Griffin player much in the early parts of last season either.... think about it....

Common guys, don't make this thread 3 pages fo the same thing. Let's sum things up:

    - Ming is not getting a lot of minutes.
    - In the few minutes he's playing, he's been bad
    - Some say he will improve with court time, 99% don't disagree
    - Court time for Ming means LOSSES for Rockets
    - LOSSES for Rockets means no playoffs
    - Regardless of playing well, Ming doesn't have the stamina to play 25 minutes
    - Ming doesn't have enough strength or speed to play yet
    - All of Ming's problems CAN be fixed OFF the court WITHOUT it affecting the Rockets' record

There's no disagreement. Ming would improve with court time. But our team would lose because. Also, Cato has been inspirational, so it would be WRONG to bench him for someone who's not playing well yet.

The beauty of it all is this: Ming's trouble is not skill or size. it's just a matter of getting into better physical condition. He has top larn the plays, but that's a formality, it won't be long before he knows them. Maybe 7 more games? I'm sure 12 regular season games and 2 preseason games is equal to Training camp and preseason.

Realize this: Ming will learn the plays off the court, and his physical condition will also improve off the court over time. Right now, he's getting over these little bumps in the road. Once he's done with NBA001, then he's ready to start getting minutes.

Look, Yao is not God. We all agree on that. He has been beating on those 10 YEAR OLD GIRLS IN CHINA. We all agree on that too. It is not just Yao bashing, but also CHINA BASHING. Please dont bash other countries like that, have some respect. Didnt we got our asses kicked in the World Game. Even China kicked our asses during the first half. If Yao got more touches within those fxxking 10 minutes in the game and we lost the game because of that, then WE deserve to lose it. I agree that Yao does need to come in slowly for a number of reasons. But when he is in the game, get him involved please. Talking about turnovers, as if our guards dont have a high TOs. If other than just jacking up shots, our backcourt could play better defense, maybe Yao would not foul so easily. Laker is 2- 5 so far without Shaq. I guess they would have been 0 - 7 if Shaq was playing. Just because we won some games against some crappy teams so far, dont jump into conclusion that we would have played much worse if Yao was involved more.
