I almost did but wanted Dorsey more than Greene and yea, I gave Yoyo a hard time after I heard about the trade, at first I was messing with him because of the Rookie pics that were out and he was wearing 10 and the one Yoyo got was number 5, when i told him we traded Artest for Greene, he didn't care, thats just of a hardcore fan he was. At least he wore it for him to see it, I bought a Stromile after his first season with the Rockets, only to see him traded later that month....
Two dynamic "soft" superstars......... And who cares of he is not a Tmac or Yao fanboy........ My 5 favorite "current" players...... Andre Miller Steve Francis Eddie House Bobby Jackson James Posey Eddie G was one of my all-time favs....RIP
thats me alright hmm, to think, the craziest Rockets item I have, is probably my $1 plastic Rockets photo album i found at the $1 store, or my comforter bed set my sister gave me for Xmas
Yeah, artest is a total madman. I love all of his antics and how he walks around beating his chest and messing with the fans. Vernon Maxwell used to be my favorite player and Artest is the closest thing in the NBA right now. I don't like Yao's game at all. He's soft, unathletic, and can't be relied on in crunch time because too many of his shots are jumpshots and shots moving away from the basket. I don't really ever see him impose his will on the game and bring things home for us. I recognize that he's comparably good because most of today's centers suck, but I grew up watching Dream so I'm picky. Yao can post a good stat line, but he doesn't carry games like Dream did and he's a defensive liability in certain ways. I'd much rather have Dwight Howard. I do like McGrady, but he's just not as awesome as artest.
Exactly. If it wasn't for Artest and Chuck Hayes, out of my top 10 favorite players, no one would be on the Rockets. It's not how good they are, it's their style of play. Artest, Hayes, Deron, LeBron, Roy, Outlaw, Wade - players I like much better than either Yao or T-Mac. Yao comes in at maybe #8, T-Mac even lower.
