i dont know.... about 30 seconds or so. unless there's a ton of traffic and then it takes me about a minute.
I just moved closer to work and my commute dropped from 35-60 minutes (dependent upon traffic...and sometimes far worse) to about 8 minutes.
about 25-30 and thats no traffic from Manvel (288 South/Highway 6) to Harwin/Beltway 8 $2/day for tolls is a b****, but beats being late and wasting gas, on the way home, I just take the feeder.
i'm the exact same and I LOVE IT!! i used to do the pearland to downtown thing and it was 15 miles/35-40 min and that was leaving before 6:30.
Used to be a 7 min drive.. then I quit. Driving to work was just too much. 7 minutes was too long and started to take a toll on me.
I hate driving in traffic. So I moved 2 blocks from my office...I wake up at 7:40, shower, get dressed and am in my office at 8:00.
From UH area to Jersey Village area, it is about 40 minutes in the morning and a hour after work if I get off at 5. Traffic sucks.
Inbound from Jersey Village to Greenway Plaza: Neighborhood to West Sam S. (5 mins) West Sam South to 290 East (3 mins) 290 East to 610 South (22 mins) 610 South to 59 North (5 mins) 59 North to Weslayan Exit (2 mins) Weslay Exit to Parking Garage (3 mins) Parking Garage to Desk (3 mins) TOTAL TIME: 43 minutes Outbound: 59S to West Park to West Sam N to Hood TOTAL TIME: 33 minutes
I forgot about the West Little York Park-and-Ride: Bus leaves at 7:10am Bus arrives at Greenway at 7:55am No savings on time, plus its $5 round trip. The only thing it saves is wear and tear on my SUV, mileage on my SUV, and stress. So the cost/benefit for me at least is about 50/50.
