25-35 minutes in the AM, always 30 in the PM. I live off Highland Knolls/99 in Katy and work right across the street from the Nordstroms in the Galleria. I-10 in the AM (at the office at 11) and the Westpark in the PM (leave at 4, work the rest of my shift at home).
I used to commute 60 miles one way in L.A. Did that for 2 years. Cross whole L.A. That should be some sort of record, but then I found out some people been comuting 80 miles one way for 18 years. He got up 4:30 am in the morning just trying to beat traffic. But traffic starts right around 5:30 am in L.A, especially i-5. It's tough living in LA
I live about 13 miles from my office, but with the traffic...it takes about 45 minutes in the morning and an hour on the way home. What I dont get is that the tollway was built to eliminate fender to fender traffic for those willing to pay a little. Yet, now it seems like taking the tollway is slower than the feeder... Anyways, my lease is up in December and the lady & I are moving into a house in the Westchase District which is about 1.5 miles from my office
I-45 S to Greenspoint (45 mins to 1 hour). My company is building a new office in The Woodlands. Which will add more time to my commute.
depending on how i hit the signals and if i get stuck behind a slow ass (take the side streets and its all single lane) it takes like 8-15minutes each way
(damn, I always fell like I'm bragging it bit when this topic comes up) I guess you can call me the creative director for a marketing research company, although I don't feel I warrant the title. What I did do by accident was to learn powerpoint 3 like the back of my hand. Then came photoshop 4 and illustrator to accent the powerpoint skills. Then I bought a Canon camera to take the pictures instead of stealing them off the web. So now I'm a powerpoint/photoshop/illustrator/photographer kind of guy...all from the comforts of a home office. The REAL trick was meeting a director at Frito-Lay. When she went off on her own, I was the first person she called/hired.
My boss has a stay at home husband. He gets to do ALL the cool things I've always wanted to do around the house. He's got all kinds of toys...big boy toys. I mean, if I had time that he has, I too would own an old army motocycle with a side car. oomp, I envy you in a way.
Damn. You caught me. I forgot to reverse it... since I was going home right after the post. [yes, I live in KATY]
