Since birth. I was born the year after they moved from San Diego, and my Dad worked at the Astrodome and Hofheinz Pavilion, so cheering for any other team was never an option. So yeah, about 41 years. :grin:

I was little when Rockets won the chip but remeber everyone in my living jumping around and someone put a hat on me but as grew old the more i kept up wit them ...trust me when rockets lose or have nail bitters i have to calm my self down or I break somthing lol
I've been a die-hard fan since I was 9 yrs. old dating back to 1996-97 season is when I really starting to get into basketball. I understood the Rockets success years before and that's why I fell in love with this team
Since i spent a few summer holidays (your winter) with my family who had season tickets in the 80's (i laughed about the dwight houston aspen thing since they had a place up there too...lol)
Since 2001. Because I'm in Asia where there wasn't any team I could specifically root for I decided to go with my favorite player at that time which was Steve Francis, then a year later Yao Ming was drafted so I just kept supporting the team.
1992-93 (i was 15) i started to follow nba more closely thanks to the dream team, i did not want to be a lakers or bulls fan like all my friends, and when i saw a rockets game with Olajuwon i knew it was the guy / team i wanted to root for, havnt stopped following em since
I'm Australian so it was hard to get into the sport with very limited exposure to the NBA. Played a bit of NBA Live 08 which was my first Bball video game and loved McGrady so I naturally decided to follow the Rockets ever since.
I'm a Serb, and naturally, I followed the Hornets and later the Kings (because of Divac). When the Kings group disbanded, I stopped watching NBA for a few years. Then the unavoidable media exposure of Linsanity started to tickle me, and the deal was sealed when Howard joined. My favorite Serbian team is Red Star, who also wear red jerseys and the fact that my wife lived most of her life in Houston were another couple of big reasons. The stars just aligned. I'm a newbie, as far as this being my nr. 1 team goes, but I've always liked them, since the Steve Francis days.
My first Rockets memory was jumping off the couch onto my dads back as the Rockets won the first championship. So its been awhile and also, I am old now.
