Since Slick Wyatts, Mo Malone, Billy "The Whopper Paultz, Mike Newlyn, Calvin Murphy, Rudy T, John Lucas (the first time), Rick Barry and Tommy Henderson. Since we were in the Eastern Conference and lost to Dr J, Andrew Toney, Darrell Dawkins in the Summit in a best of 5 series on a BAD CALL BY THE REF! I even recall seeing games in the Sam Houston Coliseum....I was young of course.
Became a rockets fan in a hotel room on holiday in Australia when the 2002 draft was on TV, when we drafted the Great Wall. We were suppose to be doing activities but it was raining so I turned on the tv and started watching, that day changed my life Proudly reppin h-town for 12 years now
I recall Mike " The Chicken Man" Dunleavy. If the Rockets scored more than 125 points in a home game, the fans would get free chicken and some how he would always hit the points to put it over 125 points.
Ever since the Rockets and the Celtics went at it for the championship. Btw I'm 42, that should say something, and I dunked at the Summit!
Been a fan since about 2002. It's pretty upsetting that I was only a toddler during the mid-90's championships. But, I will be around to see the back-to-back ships in '14 and 15'!
Since my 2002, when I was 11, my Dad told me the Rockets drafted this Asian guy and he'll be living in Katy.
Moved to Houston from Indiana in 74. Since the Rockets were the only pro bb team in town, I became a Rockets fan that year.
I discovered basketball in 1991 thanks to Jordan, Drexler and Magic. Shortly after, I found a crumpled up Hakeem Olajuwon basketball card on the floor at a flea market and discovered that Houston had a team. I was hooked ever since.
