Never saw this before, but Eagle overreacted the first time, and then his shot at the end was uncalled for.

    Definitely awkward on air.

this......it seems to be fratello's shtick, although ian eagle was a bit of an overly touchy shrew in this instance

that was in response to mike saying "are you clear on that?" twice.

Ian was saying "excellent piece of analysis." but was cut off. it played out like this:

    IAN: excellent pi...
    MIKE: ya clear on that?
    IAN: ...ece of analysis
    MIKE: ya clear on that?
IAN: no idea what you're talking about

    Ha Ha That was classic.

I think Bill and Clyde respect each too much to do something like that on air.

Not sure. Sometimes Bill comes off as pretty passive-aggressive on some of the things he says to Clyde. It may only be a matter of time before Bill explodes.

Bill already went at Clyde a few times though nothing like this. He ends arguments with an "ow okay" laughing a bit and I'm sure if Clyde would take the bait, things could explode. Remember the loud sighs Bill let out every now and again this year, it was really to the point where I really prefer away commentary. Most of the time it's better anyway, but especially when Clyde doesn't stop with the dumb remarks and terrible lines he just throws out there. Clyde is basically a one man show where he's setting behind a desk, staring into the camera and just keeps talking about everything besides basketball (nothing insightful, absolutely zero) while Bill is waiting for him to stop. It's time for Calvin to come back, especially with a new team and new channel so no contract issues and what not.

Bill Worell is going senile himself.

I would like to watch Bill Walton and Clyde Drexler work together someday on National TV.

Walton's brilliance would more than overcome Clyde's mishaps. The two would be extremely entertaining!

Yeah you're right. He's been completely mistaking player's names and sometimes just sounds dazzled and confused at moments while broadcasting.

Bill is actually a secret Rocket hater, during the "Dream years", and upon Mike
re-entering the L...he was asked after a Rockets game during the end of
our 94-95 season, Clyde had literally, carried the team with Dream out with anemia, and says "Who do I think will win the championship?, I think Utah will."
Maybe that was his "free throw line jinx type of thing", buti thought he was dead serious, ever since that comment, and all the haters I dealt with during our 2nd run....

Bill Blie Eyes isn't the top in my book, he just enjoys the pay check,
and would not know what to do with himself. At least Clyde kind of cares about the Roxkets, he's the home town Nero, it'd be almost almost like Dream announcing, or a better example Mutumbo, a Rocket at heart, we might not understand them, but they give praise, and while it's non basketball knowledge, let Clyde do it till he quits, then Bull needs to run it....he loves the ROcKETS!

Understandable, since players come and go around here like Grand Central Station.

Clyde seriously ruins home games for me. He adds nothing to the broadcast and his analysis is elementary at best.

Sports announcers might be the luckiest guys in the world, but they burn out every night and drink like fish. That said, most successful coaches are the meanest people around, because they spend their whole life around performers and can tear them down in a minute.
