I voted yesterday. Easy as could be. Finger cots, distancing, hand sanitizer, literally 10 minutes in and out the door. For those who are worried with health concerns, I think there is very little to worry about. Be heard, don’t wait. There is no better time to vote than now. All you need is a valid ID and you’re good to go.
So grateful to here people actually increased machines instead of taking them out but I hope this is not just being done in certain demographic areas.
Got up, out of bed, put a hat on, voted...45 mins in and out, got my sticker, went to put it on my shirt, realized my shirt was inside out.....LOL - oh well.....voted. DD
Just mailed it in a few weeks ago. My state has some weird third party ballot tracking that is just a complete effing joke. It supposed to track it through like 6 different steps of the process, but relies on the post office and possibly somebody in the election office to scan barcodes. It never even updated after the third step (delivered to me) even though I sent it back 3 weeks ago. This week I realized that the official state.gov website has a simple status of just "received" or "not received," and it was already received like two weeks ago. I wonder how much money is being paid to this third party website. Sounds like another technology solution in search of a problem that only causes more problems. It's probably putting additional strain on the state government due to constituents being confused and calling in wondering what the deal is.
haha. that's awesome. subconscious mind took over. Clippers did that to protest racist marks by Sterling, and USWNT did that to protest sexist remarks by the soccer federation president
Just got back from voting a little while ago. Had gone to harrisvotes.com to find a polling station without a line. If you're waiting for hours in a line to vote during early voting, I suspect you didn't take even 2 minutes to plan. There was one person ahead of me in line. Very easy and quick. Agree with this. Take the time to find a polling station without a long line. If you succeed in that, it's probably a safer environment than going to the grocery store. Some people can't even take that much of a chance, I get it. Or don't have the transportation to be choosy. But, Republicans were right that if you could go to Walmart you could go vote in Harris county -- again, at least if you take the time to find a station without a big line.
If you know ppl like this, let them know that 10 locatioins, including Toyota Center, have a drive-thru voting option. They bring a portable voting machine to your car and all the PPE you might need harrisvotes.com lists them with drop down selector for drive thru
I thought this was a play on A Day in the Life for a sec. Lulz. Woke up, fell out of bed Dragged a comb across my head Found my way downstairs and drank a cup And looking up I noticed I was late Found my coat and grabbed my hat Made the bus in seconds flat Made my way upstairs and had a smoke And everybody spoke and I went into a dream
Pour up, drank, head shot, drank Sit down, drank, stand up, drank Pass out, drank, wake up, drank Faded, drank, faded, drank
There was a line but they did a great job, everyone was masked, they made sure you were safe and it moved quickly. Got in, voted and was back in the car in less than 30 minutes. Everyone should go vote.
what a mess. In colorado i can drop my ballot off at dozens of places any time. Haven't been in a voting line in a decade
