You're still here trying to defend yourself? Just admit you were wrong already. You said "he's been terrible for so long now" and it's clearly an inaccurate statement.

Now we just need someone to start a "How is Casspi still in the NBA?" thread and we will finally get our 3rd star.

No one should read what a bunch of delusional fans think.

I like his potential as a double double guy. I think he's got speed and he's bends but doesn't break. If he can keep the ball and keep position he can be a great rebounder. THe blazers are pretenders and the kings are meh but he showed his potential tonight.

I'll never get the hate for Omri. He's a vet minimum guy. He gives effort every night. He's not a fantastic player but he's relatively solid off the bench. Sure, we all wish his shooting was more consistent, but again, vet minimum. What's that expression? You get what you pay for.

Yea. His shot has been inconsistent but everything else about his game has been solid.

    That's not true

Casspi played exceptional for three quarters. THe fourth quarter he took some bad shots(he made them) and loss some rebounds. By then it was garbage time.

Casspi has been a solid contributor off the bench. Garcia, on the other hand, don't know what happened to that guy. Totally different from last season. Thought he could replace Del3no. Boy was I wrong.

Shooters are fickle creatures. Sometimes they sink everything they throw up, and sometimes they just throw up.

Casspi is the type of player every team needs. He can have a great night or a night when nothing goes in, but he is always there to fight for the team. He never just coasts games. That is contagious and I have a feeling that his good +/- record comes from that. That's the feature the team needs in the playoffs and so far I'm encouraged from what I see.

If you noticed how Garcia is asked to play this year you would see that Coach McHale seems to have given him the green light to try to create and drive to the basket (see Parsons) EXCEPT his first step is terrible (he's also older and more of a 3pt spot up shooter).

Last season Garcia was a bright spot for us closer to the playoffs, he shot the 3pt shot well and he played some good physical defense against KD. Casspi is probably our 2nd biggest offensive player off the bench behind Lin who can actually play some solid defense and rebound the ball decently well. He does need to work on that 3pt shot and make it more consistently though. I have faith Morey is going to make a few trades to bolster our bench.

Casspi 3s depend on his position.

if he get it at the corner he shoot above 50%.
if he get it at the top of the 3 he shoost around 30+%

Some of you know me as a suspected COF (I claim I'm not, and I made my dig to reflect that, but who listens?... :)),
but let's be totally honest - tonight Casspi took some dubious shots that he shouldn't have (a bit selfish too) - mainly in thr 4th.
Fortunately, all those turnaround-tumbling-Dirk-style shots fell in:grin:, but I would still like to see him pass in these situations
(Especially since it turns out that Omri can really pass! He surprised me with this aspect of his game this season).

i think it good Casspi took those shot , as long as he wont repeat them :)
it can be a great confidence booster for him , and confident player = better player :)

Casspi does a lot of things

He rebounds well, can shoot the long ball, has a decent floater and average D despite going up against many guys bigger than him at the 4

    Garcia OTOH? SMH

When he's trying to score he should try to get the best shot possible. Sometimes I think Casspi takes bad shots because of laziness.

Been wanting to see dmo at the 4 with Casspi at the 3 off the bench for a while now. If Asik was not a biatch our rotation would be pretty damn nice.

Someone needs to make a GIF of that incredibly awful 15ft finger roll that Casspi attempted against the Kings. What in the crab was that?!? Dude literally shoots with no conscience - which can be good or really awful. Actually a decent rebounder and defender (based on my eye test - so could be off base).
