Not giving the keys back to the drunk driver: If there was a Democrat, I voted D. If there was no Democrat, I voted L. Voted for a few judges that I knew regardless of political orientation. And I couldn't pass up voting for a potention Judge Butts (R).
I voted mostly democratic in the big positions and sprinkled in a few republians here and there in the smaller positions. I voted for one judge position cause I knew the guy.
I voted for Tom Horner the Independent for gov.. Voted independent also for US Rep.. Otherwise voted for Dem incumbents for the other state offices. For old school NFL fans voted for Alan Page who is on the MN Supreme Court and was up for reelection.
Voted mostly libertarian with a few republicans in certain races. As much as the Republicans irk me, I just could never vote democrat.
He may also be a small business owner, since most of them got cuts under Obama. They got even more cuts if they provided insurance. The health care reform really helps small businesses.
6 Republicans 5 Democrats 1 Libertarian As far as the races that the posters in this forum may care about: House(GA's 8th): Jim Marshall(D) Governor: Nathan Deal(R)(Both major party candidates suck, but felt a Libertarian vote would be a waste.) Senate: Johnny Isakson(R)
No, thats not it. I'm not saying other credits and deductions haven't been passed, I'm betting the only one he took advantage of from the Obama administration is the Making Work Pay credit. I could be wrong.
$400 for the making work pay credit and i started getting an extra 30 a paycheck sometime last year. i think that may have stopped however, but i really didn't notice cause i had a nice pay increase at work (and thanks to obama for helping out some of our clients).
The extra money in your paycheck was just an adjustment for the Making Work Pay credit(so you would get the money faster). So they were one and the same. All they did was change the IRS withholding tables in mid year when the IRS typically only changes them on an annual basis. You can't be disappointed by $400, and to be fair, Obama wanted to give you $500, but Congress lowered it to cut the cost of the Stimulus Bill. Of my refund I will be getting on my 2010 return, I will owe about $800 to the Stimulus and $1500 to TARP(The Residential Energy Efficiency Credit). I also got $200 from the Energy Efficient Appliance Rebates as part of the Stimulus Bill.
I used to vote anti-incumbent before it was cool. Now, I'm propping up the establishment everywhere I can.

that's odd. i didn't do my taxes (my father in-law needs something to do) and when he did mine last year, he specifically said it was $400 more due to the making work pay credit.
From his standpoint of just preparing your tax return, it would make since that he would say that, since it shows on your tax return as an additional payment.
