Going to the Dps for the first time since I've moved to Houston in the morning; The one on Grant road. When is the best time to go? I was planning on being there around 7, an hour before it opens. Damn I hate waiting at the dps.

I guess if you count shopping malls, restaurants and driving at least 30 minutes through one rich/ghetto area after another just to get anywhere as things to do.

If you like nature it is great. You have zilker park + all those parks on 360 and
6th street is better then anything they have in houston, but texas in general kind of sucks compared to places like san francisco, new york, la, boston etc. One of my favorite things to do in cities is just get on the metro and explore the city, and even though austin has a decent metro you just can't do it.

I forget which one it is, but there is one DPS where I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes, even at lunch time. At some of the others I have waited up to 4 hours. I'll try to find out which one it was.

If you're renewing, go to the DPS location in Hempstead. Nobody is ever there. It isn't a far drive from the Grant Road location.

    Winner.

Minus a professional sports team, Austin has everything Houston has and more. And the sports team isn't that big of a deal, we have the Horns. Oh and the Texas Stars are pretty entertaining.
