    well that was very shortlived

i guess consistent defensive effort is impossible under adelmans tenure which is strange given this is same roster plus artest that jvg had to work with

too bad cause the no D rox look to be here to stay, i dont think its a chemistry issue. defense is an easy thing to do even in pickup basketball

ya but to blame the crappy defense all year long (even with tmac out) on one player who was never a great defender to begin with and still played a part of great defensive teams in the past - is sorta silly

    dont ya think?

oh ya i forgot u just make a living of hating on the guy in every one of ur posts

t-mac was a good defender when he was young in toronto.

but then he had to devote more energy on offense.

but seriously though, if kobe and lebron can play good O and D every game, i dont see why t-mac can only play on one end and rest on the D.

iam not saying he cant all iam saying is mcgrady was a matador on defense just as much in years past and the team was still playing GREAT defense

so he is not the reason why we suck on defense this year

Which end does he play? I see someone who just stands around asking for the ball and making bad shots. That's not offense. That's being a ball hog and ball stopper.

Add in... when he sucks on offense like he just did, logically, you'd think he'd play some great defensive effort...

Rockets are inconsistent. It might take more than this season to fix that, or maybe it just won't work.

Um, do I need to run another comparison of the Rockets with TSlack in the game vs. the Rockets without TSlack in the game? Face it, the Rockets are just a much worse team with TSlack. It isn't even close.

was not even close to true in the past when they dominated with him and sucked arse without him. this year he and the team have sucked that much is true

still, stop changing subject with ur tmac hate we all know he aint no good this season. iam talking about defense and the team as a whole not another tmac crusade

I don't hate TSlack. He just doesn't play D. He doesn't play O. He doesn't play. Other than that, I love the guy.

Look at how horrible the Rockets look when he plays. It is not coincidence. The guy wearing #1 is not the 13 points in 35 seconds guy. That guy went away a long time ago. We now have a shell of a basketball player who thinks he doesn't need to put out effort.

BTW, you're right. The team defense is bad ... but it is worse when TSlack is playing.

WHAT?! Were we watching the same game? McLady is close to the worst defender on this team. OK, he blocked 1-2 shots, but did you see his close-outs? Half the time he doesn't put his hand up when running out to the shooting man on the arc - horrible.

I’m thinking this is less of a coaching issue and more of a personnel problem. I’m tired of looking at McLady’s pathetic stats and the defeated and lost look in his eyes. I’ve been a fan since 1992 and I have defended this guy forever, but now I’m done! He does not have the heart of a champion and he is a cancer of bad defense to the rest of the team. Bottom line - your leader can not be one of the worst defenders if you want to win a championship. I guess my theory stands strong since he has never made it out of the 1st round!
