Honestly, other than Heart, The Runaways, I can't think of another female band that kicked as much ass as the Dixie Chicks did. They were probably the best Country band since Alabama. The whole anti-war thing and battle with Toby Keith derailed their career, but this group was probably the pinnacle of bands. I'd put them on the same level with: the eagles. Yes, the dixie chicks are about to show the world _______. I don't want to go back and forth with you on this and I'm not: but pre-anti-war--they had glowing, gushing reviews from just about every major artist, magazine in the business. Natlie Maines can sing her face off. They played their own instruments at master level and they've played with a who's who in the music business. You might like them you might just not dig chicks singing in general, but yeah they are on that level.

Are you providing a personal opinion? The eagles famously said they'd get back together for a reunion tour when hell freezes over. That tour was one of the highest grossing tours of the decade, If you measure a band by their popularity: if the dixie chick had a reunion tour, they'd certainly have one of the highest grossing tours of that decade. The buzz for the chicks to comeback is probably only exceeded by possibly guns n roses getting back together. If you judge a band by their musicianship and creativity, the chicks play is certainly on the level with the eagles. Why: in 2006 the album: Taking the Long Way won 5 grammys, including Song of the Year, Album of The Year and Record of the Year. They also have a controversy which sparked an anti-war movement which made the band a lightning rod. How many other bands have had this kind of controversy? It don't happen. I truly thought that clutchfans knew good music: but comparing the dixie chicks to Boyz 2 Men???? lol

Yeah, I agree. We really shouldn't be comparing the Dixie Chicks to Boyz 2 Men, seeing as how Boyz 2 Men actually makes good music.
Natalie is awesome on the Stern show. She doesn't hold back and she has some freaking great stories. The time when Michael Jackson showed up at her Halloween party for kids, awesome.
