and note, extrapolating the lockout your percentages,,,45 wins would have tied us for the last spot last year. 44 wins would have missed the playoffs. fwiw Our winning % right now, misses the playoffs last year. So, if last year is any indication of the strength of West vs East...our current record will not get us in the playoffs...we will be overtaken by teams with less home games played at this point. We still must get a better winning %, and despite our brutal road month coming upon us.
This was allways a rebuilding year. The playoffs while would be great to get into was never the main goal. We are virtually running with a whole new core so the main gal should be to build a cohesive group that can build a solid foundation for years to come. Playoffs are irrelevant in this juncture in time.
And I agree. I think .500 is uncertain. Personally, I still don't think we are going to be a .500 team at the end of the year running like this. It will be fun to watch, but will take a herculean effort by Harden and much improvement in Lin's shot to get us to .500 this year. I'm fine continuing to run and not worrying about playoffs. It's a good sales tactic to attract other stars to a fun and running team. And honestly, it's the best offense for Lin to run right now. I don't want him running a bunch of PnRs at high usage.
i agree with you. they are so young and inexperience. Playoffs are irrelevant in this juncture in time. this team has a lot of potential . hope they keep improving their chemistry together.
cmon we are to good to be missing playoffs...this initial record is very misleading...not a real picture of our worth...we had 1 mc hale leave of absence 2 a referee steal and 3 a few unlucky OT losses... 4and we never played this roster... just keep playing good bb an were 100% in...of course if we can stay away from injuries...even in this department we are at better prospects than other teams cause we are not dependent on one player...were making players on the lin's wings even if harden is injured...we have so much good shooters.... we have smith to explode if something happens to asik etc...were good as it gets...

we are like the Clippers last year.. Good starters and mediocre bench, and will be knocked out of the first round... a good bench will make all he differences
clippers made the second round of the playoffs because of the strength of their bench. your comparison makes absolutely no sense.
i'm not sure why this is the case. u need bench for regular season, u need starters in the playoff. starters play 40minutes a game in playoff, so why does it matter if they have a good bench or not? what the clippers lacked is a good coach, what we need is a healthy team.
This team need experience. I want them to add a couple more experienced role players. Then they will be a playoff team for sure. Shame Rox is not in the east. They will be a top 3 team in the east for sure.
The scary thing is how there's enough cap room for another max contract. Loving the cohesion this team has.
This may be knee jerky of me, but I think this team is legit - not quite contender yet, but maybe a second round playoffs team this year, if we're lucky. We're only going to get better too! We just need a great PF.
