Meh.... Never thought Castro was much of a hitter.

His crappy work ethic isn't discussed much either.

Man. You were def right about Castro. But this is crazy to see 4 years later. Altuve is arguably better than both biggie and bagwell. And Martinez is a superstar level player.

    Crazy.

Never in a million years, back then, would I have guessed either one of those guys would have turned out anywhere close to the way they did. JD, especially, completely flamed out for a bit there. At least Altuve never got put on waivers and released - that would have been horrible if he became MVP for some other team.

Edit: and whoever those people were that were saying they would be Biggio/Bagwell look like total geniuses right now.

dont think it's really even arguable.

i have altuve #1 on the list already, but i think it's a pretty safe bet that, by the end of this era, the 4 greatest astros position players of all time are gonna be altuve, correa, springer, and bagwell. bagwell likely 4.

I honestly think Bregman has a chance in there as well.

Springer isn't passing Bags or Biggio. He'll have a special place given the world series, but he isn't a HOF player.

probably not passing bagwell. i agree and amend that. i personally don't think HoF is the bar for him to pass biggio though.

He actually had a pretty solid season in Minnesota this year. Easily his best year since the all-star season.

Remember when we were obsessed with #framing and tried to convince ourselves Conger was totally worth it?

    Yeah. Me neither.

He has pretty funny monthly slugging and OPS stats. Bad, ok, bad, ok, bad, ok. Like clockwork.
