Jefferies is a nice defensive stopper off the bench, who's always struck me as a JV version of Stacey Augmon with a broken jump shot. He can get a few hustle points since he's really active at both ends, but he'll airball from 10 ft. I wouldn't compare him to Chuck at all - aside from being defensive guys that can't shot, they're very different. Jefferies is all wingspan and hustle, Chuck is a midget made of rock. Again, Jefferies is a decent bench guy (10th man) that makes starter money (3rd or 4th man).

Armstrong is a guy I thought would be far better than he's been. He apparently just doesn't care. Doesn't work on his game, doesn't work on getting stronger, doesn't focus in practice, just doesn't care enough to succeed. For sure, we got him as a salary dump. Dorsey at not even $1M is a steal in exchange for Armstrong.

I think you are the one that reading too much into this. Rockets fans were not happy solely because we got KM. We were happy because we got rid of a deadweight Tmac for linear player plus 3 other players and 2 top picks!!!

You fuvking not reading or realize this ****? are u r****ded?

That's like trading in your BMW for a Benz plus VW, Honda, and two future brand cars that could protentially turn into a Porshe.

Yes - if he had followed the NBA for the past 2 seasons he might have realised what a stupid statement that was...

Nothing to get excited about here. In summary, they are big; that's about it. The Knicks fans are ecstatic about getting rid of Jefferies. They have little to nothing good to say about him. The Rockets may let them sit in the stands, or they may make them buy tickets to the games.

Jared is a nice player who plays hard all the time. It is not his fault that he is overpaid.

Hilton has all the qualities we need when we play the Lakers and Denver. The question with him is about fight or lack of it. When he wants to bring it, he can be a difference maker on defense.
Fight is something Landry obviously excel at.

NEVER compare a luxury car like a BMW to Knee-Mac! A luxury car like BMW is actually reliable down the stretch! Knee-Mac is like a used beat up Pinto! Kevin Martin reminds me of a Lexus, smooth, reliable, doesn't get alot of hype, but gets the job done and looks good doing it.

It would be nice to have a decent, tall player to play backup center. Sounds like Armstrong would be it if he wanted it badly enough. Sigh.

We have too many scrubs at the 4 and 5. I'd be surprised if two of
Andersen, Armstrong, Jefferies are here when next season starts.

Jeffries is a very good defender but just as bad offensively which is the problem. He is a luxury for contenders because he can put on a number of different position to defend but that is it. Interesting stat I heard on Tuesday night, he leads the league in taking charges so he should fit in nicely.

Armstrong is interesting because he has underachieved but has some good defensive skills yet like most have said already he lacks desire to improve. He will come in nicely vs the bigger clubs but thats about it.

Jeffries and Battier off the bench will be a problem for even the best bench team in the league. But the problem is we need some offensive punch of the bench, and I wish Chase steps up his offensive game with Hill, if they do some scoring there will be no problem.

And I know it sounds funny but I want Armstrong the start. I don't care how many foul he gets, we really really need some size and blocking presence in starting five.

Hold your judgement until you see how the guy plays in OUR system. You no idea how he will perform after a scenery change. Jeffries just may surprise all of you that are counting him out. Basing your opinions on what he did in NY. what recent player has done anything much in NY? We play good team defense here, so I'm sure these guys will buy in. We need a couple athletic 6'10 players anyway. Maybe Hilton became unhappy in NO and lost his confidence. You just never know. So reserve judgement until these guys have a chance.

not only was our BMW busted, but it would talk mess to us whenever you wanted to get it started..."what you trying to turn my ignition for? my windshield wiper hurts...trade me in? you can't trade me in. I am carrying weapons of mass destruction..." now I hate BMW.

Jeffries is doing the role of Arize to Knicks fans.
Armstrong is doing the role of Cook.

who cares what these two guys do in terms of evaluating the trade...

the real keys are martin, developing hill, and using or packaging those picks.

Aemstrong hasnt proved anything other than being a big body. Jeffries is a good versitile defender with good ball handling skills. Hes a small forward in the mold of odom and horry. Not quite as natural ball handler as odom who has pg handles, but he has a good handle. Better than shane or trevor. I really hope hill gets the backup minutes behind scola. We know what scola is and isnt, but hill should get 18-20 mins on the court to evaluate and see what he can and cant do. It wouldnt diminish the goal of winning and developing.
