CJ runs up the middle too much for my liking. He needs to be saved from fisher.

Don't forget Steven Jackson. I wish we could see him on a good team. The guy is 2nd in rushing on a team on a horrible team.

He's in the cut of Peterson but not on the same level. His talent is immense. I think he's a very steady runner with a great mix of power and speed.

Needs to stay healthy for another season or two more if he wants to be considered one of the best. His nagging injuries are always frustrating. This year he's been healthy and has been a Top 5 back in the league.

His window will be closing sooner than later. Even though he's only 26, he's been a workhorse for 5 seasons already... He's got 3-4 good years left I'd say.

Jackson is a big threat in the passing game unlike Peterson. So it kind of levels things out. Imagine what Manning or Brady would do with Jackson on their team.

I think all the high-use RBs have gone on a dramatic decline--that wasn't specific to George's upright running style. Barry just left well before it was coming.

agreed. SJax could be a different version of Faulk.. more powerful/slightly better runner, worse receiver in that he's not as quick or elusive. But overall I think he could do similar damage from the dual-threat position with a QB like Peyton

I did mention Jackson earlier as being #3, then the big dropoff. I agree that Johnson is ridiculous. His quickness is absurd, but Peterson also has great speed, but considerable more power. I do agree that Peterson has the fumbling issue, but he can overcome that. But picking Peterson over Johnson is like 1a and 1b, but I would still take Peterson if I had to pick just one.

I would pick Chris Johnson, then Steven Jackson then AP, then MJD.
AP has 15 fumbles in 2 seasons (last year and this year), thats really a problem. steven jackson, is on a bad team and he cant win all the game by himself, he needs help, if you put SJax in a good team, he would be amazing, and being recognized as a better RB.
