I don't see us winning anymore games this season. Maybe the last game versus Cleveland is winnable but this team will likely be just going through the motions at that point after having to go to New England to get crushed and then have Indy demoralize them in the two weeks prior.

That's going to be the Adrian Peterson Bowl. I'm hoping the Texans start Van Pelt, and bench Demeco for that game.

Why would you put Van Pelt at LB?

Start Van Pelt at QB, and start Carr at MLB. :)

Its not going to be a pretty finish. At least last year their was the 1st pick to look forward to.

This is a quote from Fred Weary in today's chronicle .

"I think the biggest thing is we have to take a different approach the last few ballgames," right guard Fred Weary said. "We went into the last eight games wanting to be the most improved team in the NFL. We haven't done that so far. But in the last three games, I think we can really set the tone for next season and leave a good taste in our mouth."

AD might be tasting pretty good by then.

I thought he has battled ankle injuries... sorry, not much of a Sooner

I have watched him run fast and liked what I saw...

If he doesn't have any ankle problems we need to lose out and get a shot at him.

He is Better Than... get this "Better Than Reggie Bush", I say this because (a. I love OU and (b. because it's true, he plays hurt(when he can) and has had over 1,000 rushing yards in the last 2 seasons (1,925 yards in his FRESHMAN year, and needs about 150 yards to hold the Sooners all-time rushing yards).
This guy is a haas, and hopefully he won't go higher than fifth in the draft(which is where the texans are at, this Ladies and Gentlemen is what is known as "a sure thing" hopefully Kubiak, McNair, and Smith will all agree to get him on draft day(if he's available)

I thought he had some ankle injuries too, like last year or something. I'dstill take the chance on him like the Bills did wil McGahee. I think he would be the perfect type of runner for this team. He can run between the tackles and he has the breakaway speed (if healthy) that DD doesnt have.

Exactly how I feel. If we get a good pick next draft I really want us to trade down....unless we have chance at him.

I haven't watched Cal play this year, so I don't know much about Lynch. Will he be the second RB taken or will Kenny Irons?

    Really poorly produced highlight reel:

    Unreal run against LSU:

AD-AP is anything but a slasher but he can do that too. He reminds me some of an Earl Campbell-espue runner. Man, the dude punishes tacklers who even try, then he's elusive maybe some Marcus Allen.

Call him Superman, call him the Punisher they both fit. Maybe going 4-12 or 5-11 isnt so bad after all. IF so ...

For once, Texans please get it freakin right! VY potentially the once in a generation prototype QB that is truly five tooled. The only thing that potentially hinders him is how well he will ultimately be able to read defenses? If he Peyton Manning's that topic, he straight up will be the "ultimate warrior."

That being said, AP perhaps as evidenced by the clips, is a once in a generation running back who just flat out kicks ASS and takes names. I mean 70% of his yards are AFTER first contact. AFTER! Then, he gets stronger in the second half of games. HOLY SH*T!!!

Ok, that did it ... I can confidently say TANK the rest of your games, Texans!

WE NEED AP! I swear Texans brass you **** this one up and I'll kill ya! You potentially got a mulligan. Make the most of this BAD season and set us up for years to come. Booyah! AP gonna break down the MF'in house!

Let's go Texans! It's ok to even lose to Cleveland this year. You can do it! Do it for your fans! :D

    Fixed it.

These "once in a generation" types come along every 2-3 years.

I think the correct term is "potentially" a once in a generation type back. The questions about Bush's inability to run in between the tackles proved to be true so he essentially is a specialty back/slot WR. He's still a good player, but hardly a once in a generation RB.

The only question in AP’s game is if he can stay healthy. Otherwise I see no flaws.

I think he has much of the best qualities of Reggie Bush (lights out acceleration and open field moves) and say Addai/Maroney (physical between the tackles runners).

If you don't get my drift yes I think the Texans should draft him and yes he IMO he is the best looking RB prospect in the draft since 2001 (LT) if not since 1999 (Edge, Ricky). It would take suprising combine info (e.g., slower than 4.4, weighing in at under 215, unimpressive strength performance) to change my mind from what I have seen from him on the field.

If 70% of his yards are after contact, doesnt that leave him questionable as to how he can do against bigger and stronger nfl players. I am just wondering. Its going to be a lot harder to break tackles against full grown men. Reggie Bush was a great runner in college but his rushing yards arent that amazing now.

That is nothing bad about YAC. It means he is getting more out of plays (even poor blocking) that must guys would. In the NFL you can't outrun and juke everyone, that is why Bush is having trouble running most basic plays.
