Everyone here swears YES. Hollinger says statistically Goran is a much better isolation defender. The statistics I read (per opponents 100 possessions) say they are identical defenders (crappy.) BUT the people on here at Clutchfans have said that's because Goran had no help defenders in PHX. (I guess the Rox have a helpside defense that I had not noticed, but whatev.) I think the guy is probably a little better at stopping dribble penetration at least, and that would be good for us.

suns fans seem to charish this performace like we do with AB in game 4 vs. lakers rd.2, its interesting that these two pg's how similiar these two pg's are in terms of fan appreciation and contribution http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLWjQ7nZTkI
I've seen enough of Dragic to say he's our pg for the future. Surprised at how good he was for the Suns in their Play Off runs. A true pg in the taller range. I just wish his frame was as sturdy looking as Nash, Billups, Rose or Deron.. But if he does bulk up will that take away from his speed? If so he should retain his Barbosa frame..
People are going overboard here. Dragic isn't the great playermaker he's being made out to be. He can run the PnR, which Brooks couldn't. On the otherhand he's not creating his own offense like Brooks could.
a suns fan told me that dragic blew alot of big leads and helped lose a lot of games for them, when he used to to be a good player the season prior. he sounds like the white aaron brooks to me.
He is the black Manu, that is slumping like a black Aaron Brooks Makes sense to trade a slumping player for another. Change of environment will probably help him.
I don't know a lot about him, but, I will go with Steve Nash's evaluation. When asked after the trade and after he got the shock and surprise out of his system, he said the Rockets were getting a good player who has a chance to be special. If Nash thinks he is going to be special and he plays against him everyday, I will trust his opinion. I believe he tweeted something similar as well. Also, We haven't seen 6'3" in a point guard in a while. Whether he lives up to Nash's prediction is up to the Rox to develop him
I'm not familiar with the per opponent 100 possessios statistics you are referring to. Can you point me to them?
It's called "defensive rating" See this page at basketball reference dot dom for everything Goran. Click on a stat title for a little descriptionl
Those same statistic you use says Battier is a much better career scorer than Brooks. Every statistic needs to be put in to the proper context. Using them blindly is what gives stats and quantitative analysis a bad rap.
