Bigger, stronger, more hops, more skilled, more nasty, more attitude. More everything.

The one thing Landry has on Griffin is a jumpshot.

what is he 6'9? I don't think it's possible to predict how good he'll be offensively in the pros. He'll have to modify his game because he'll be average size wise and his athleticism won't be as overbearing. He does look to be bigger than Beasley though, who seems like he can't be any taller than Landry.

And, I think it's safe to say if he tries to do one of those fancy throw downs in the pros somebody like Perkins will lay him out and make him regret it.

he is awesome. i love his talent.
he is the only reason i watch Oklahoma
i can see him and Durant turning OKC around if he was the be drafted by them.

If OKC gets Griffin, Green and possibly Westbrook would be gone eventually. They won't be able to afford even 3 of those 4 guys in the long run and would eventually be stuck in the situation that Portland is starting to face.

They would build around Durant and Griffin and get some nice picks and pieces in return for Green and Westbrook.

Regardless, things would be looking really good in OKC.

Unfortunately OKC is doing too good to give them much of a shot at the number 1 pick. If they did get it, 29038309824 people would say the draft is rigged. But it would be sweet.

Another great thing about him is how level-headed he is. He gets the crap beat out of him almost every game and never even suggests that he wants to retaliate.

That's exactly what I think. Find him the right system (a running and gunning team) and he will shine, but I think he will be an iffy on a 1/2 court style team.

Kid still has a long way to go, but when its all said and done I imagine he will be Carlos Boozer coupled with INSANE athleticism. That's a franchise player in my book even if I hate Booze.

Athletically, I like the comparison. Griffin is a much better rebounder than K-Mart ever was, though. Probably better offensively too, as you mentioned.

Exactly how good is Griffin compared to the big men of the other drafts?

Which one would you get if you had the chance? Horford, Oden or Griffin?

most would probably say Oden, Griffin, Horford in that order... even though i feel Horford is a beast... Oden is more of a Tyson Chandler type player to me he cant really create his shot but his height and hype would have had him before Griffin or Horford... Now when it comes to Horford and Griffin Horford had better players around him and had more experience in comparison with Griffin but once again i think teams would have focused more so on the potential upside that a player might have.... it depends on the team who would get picked first...

So you'd still pick Oden over Horford or Griffin even with his injuries? Interesting....

Oden has more potential than either guy. I'm a big fan of Horford and I think he's going to explode on to the scene one of these years. He needs a good coach and a PG that is a floor general. When these things happen, the Hawks will be contenders.

I think it's sometimes hard to interpret how a player's athleticism will translate from college to the NBA.

honestly no... even though its hard to find a good big man... if i had a player who could score from the pf position and a good point guard i would work with a defensive minded player.

Oden = Pat Ewing possibly in my eyes (as a ceiling) type player he has the gifts but doesnt put them together well enough

Horford = Reminds me of Charles Barkley for some reason even though he's not undersized he has a nice jumpshot at this point of his career and has above average bb iq.

Griffins = (ceiling wise) reminds me of an Elton Brand type of player he has the back to the basket game somewhat but until he develops the jumper like elton did he wont be considered a threat

and as for beasly... he screams Derick Coleman/Clarence Weatherspoon to me but opinions are like that cop in the moats case

Not really seen him a lot but, he looks like an overall thread in the paint and his only 20 with a lot of potential.

If he does make it to the NBA I would love to see how Yao, Howard, or Garnett take care of him. Just pure curiosity on how he matches up with BIGGER man.

He won't be a center in the NBA will he? I would imagine he would be a PF... am I wrong?

Griffin, and it's not even close. Griffin has a refined offensive game and is going to be a legitimate low-post threat in the NBA that can score 20 a game and consistently draw double teams. Oden and Horford will be very strong defensive players, but offensively, they're offensive rebound/putback and space clearing guys. They're not go-to options and I don't think they ever will be.

His game looks like Al Jefferson, with better athleticism. He's got great instincts around the rim. This guy's going to be good.

I don't know about the other 2, but he would beat up on Yao 1 on 1. Yao's only option is to back off and hope he misses the jumper.
