Just look at KD. AGain, 26 points in 23 minutes.

It seems like 9 guys are playing at one level and he is 2-3 levels ahead or above.

I still think Melo is better than him right now.

Maybe in a couple of years he will surpass him, but not now.

How does that prove they're deep? They only play eight guys, and two of them suck. That means the other six guys are really good. That's not depth, that's great skill among a small number of players.

If you do than you are and IDIOT. No offense to you but that sounds like a complete nonsense.

I'd even say he is easily 2x better than Melo. And he still has space to grow.

Dude, durantula is amazing... Did someone say Melo is better than him? What are you smoking?

This guy is freakin' 21 years old. smh   What is he going to be at 25?? If he stays healthy, I don't think there's any doubt he ends up surpassing both Kobe and Lebron in legacy. Maybe even Jordan.

KD is a transcendental talent. He's better than Melo, but that doesn't mean his team is second best in west.

    Did I mention he's 21?

Compare his skills/size/talent/success to Jordan at 21 please...

Look, I'm one of the biggest Durant homers on this board, and I also say he is entirely better than Melo, but to say he'll be better/have a better legacy than Jordan is just ridiculous.

I did say "maybe". And can I say again, he's only 21. I think it's more ridiculous to completely reject the possibility outright as even Jordan was literally a different species or something...

He pretty much was a different species.

Lebron had comparable or better stats than KD across the board when he was 21, and he killed him in assist numbers.

Lebron's shortcomings are well-known on this board, and I say this to demonstrate that you cannot project someone's career trajectory at age 21. KD will definitely be a great player, but it is too early to start saying his legacy will surpass jordan's.

Depends on the development of Serge Ibaka and whether he can challenge the Laker bigs. Also Durant needs to improve his defense and playmaking ability. Yea he scored a ton of points vs the Lakers in the playoffs last year but he was extremely inefficient and made very little timely baskets. Russell Westbrook was giving them hell

They will be pretty good next year but not great still a few years from that. But I do think if they ran into the Lakers again in the playoffs they would have a great chance of beating them because they much up with them so well. I just don't see them coming anywhere close to winning the west.

Why is this ridiculous? Is it ridiculous to assume that someone will be better than the MJ? Its been more than a decade since MJ played! I'm pretty sure someone will come along better than him sooner or later.

Durant at 21 blows MJ at 21 out of the water, in the same way that LBJ at 21 blew MJ at 21 out of the water.

I'm just like Ashes except I really am THE biggest KD homer on this forum. ;) In fact, I'll bet nobody here has watched more of his NBA games than I have. Seriously.

Are you old enough to remember how good MJ was as a rookie? To say KD blows him out of the water at 21 is off-the-charts ridiculous and silly. MJ hit the NBA like a cat 5 hurricane. He was so good people could not believe what they seeing.

Again, KD is my favorite player in the NBA. Even since about 10 games into his freshman year at UT, I've watched him like a hawk and read almost everything there is to read about him. But MJ at 21 was almost inhuman and KD doesn't come close to blowing him out of the water. Let's be reasonable.
