Maybe 20 years ago. Today a dunk is even more common than a layup. I guess if you have 15 dunks in a game then the momentum changes 15 times. So if the momentum changes 15 times doesn't that mean that if your team is rolling you can break your own momentum? Hmm. Confusing isn't it?
If I was a 8 time all star and 2 time scoring champion, you could call me a bum every day and twice on Sunday. If he's a bum, then what is the guy at the end of the bench?
Nice thread after our 7th win in a row. If he shoots the ball, people complain that Rafer isn't effective, that our offense is too slow placed and stagnant, that our other players stand around and watch and don't get involved offensively and that Yao doesn't get enough touches If he plays within the flow of the game when others are playing well offensively, he gets threads like this. The 1st quarter he was not shooting well. He more than made up for it in the third by scoring and in the fourth by deferring to Yao and letting him attack the weaker Portland interior AND he played good defense. Some of you guys are ridiculous.
I'll say it again, T-Mac actually had a pretty good game today. He was looking to facilitate, not to score, and he did a pretty good job of setting up his teammates. When he does his Magic thing the Rockets are a much better team.
i am just sad about the fact tracy and yao can't get along with on the court. it looks like any of them counteracts another's effort. I mean they are not compatible and have a totally different style. we have seen they tried to adjust, but not well done. anyone has good idea?
Are you kidding? WE WON. WE ARE 10-0 when they have played together after TMac's injury. Crap, some of you don't understand basketball at all and it agitates me.
Yeah, T-Mac swings over to the facilitator and Yao takes over primary scoring duties. It worked for Magic and Kareem, and the Rockets have looked damn good the last couple of games. T-Mac does need to score more though. If he can keep his shot attempts right where they are right now as a percentage of the team's and raise his shooting % the Rockets will be very tough to beat.
The only thing I hate is your logic. You have no idea what you're talking about! First of all, when it was all on Yao and T-Mac they were ball hogs and were not getting the other players adequate involved and thus getting more balanced scoring. Now we are and because T-Mac doesn't get 20+ and BTW, we're STILL winning you think we can't win. Memo, even Kobe is taking this approach and they're winning too in La La land. Wow, team ball = winning. What a concept! Hey Boston is doing the same thing. Hmmm ... it must be just a passing fad. Let T-Mac be ready come the stretch and into the playoffs. If he doesn't score 20+ every night and we win ... who cares? Try analyzing something you might be actually good at like tiddly winks or under water basket weaving. Because you are clueless about the fundamentals of basketball!
A lot of people were going on and on about how the team was better without T-Mac, and then the guy comes back not looking to score 40 points and play a team game.. and he's a bum. Give me a break.
we are benefiting from the schedule and that's the main cause we got 10-0. count how many top seeds among them.
