anyone remember the first week of the season? tmac was playing at a superstar level. NBA.com put him down as the number 1 MVP candidate for that week.

I firmly believe T-Mac is just saving himself for the playoffs. Things are working as-is so why mess with it, if he gets 15 ppg the rest of the way and we win 80% of our games who cares. Sure we'd be better if he took it to the rack a lot more, but all superstars have something extra they pull out for the playoffs. Maybe he's just making everyone think he's lost it when in reality he's just cutting back to bring it later on? I mean, we're in no danger in my opinion of missing the playoffs, so why not let it play out for now. I'm enjoying watching the victories pile up.

TMac has been an excellent play maker lately, and IMHO that's one of the big reason we've been on a roll and racking up wins.

ever since his comeback, he actually did not try to "take over and impose my will" on the team, he didn't the chemistry and flow of the team, he's in fact adapting to the new system.

I am impressed! team win is more important than individual stats.

    A. It's going to take him a while to get his conditioning all the way back.

    B. He has had some very nice games before this latest sickness.

    C. He seems to me to be taking a little more of a passive role, seeing where his teammates are, facilitating, and trying to improve and build upon everyone's confidence.

don't worry. tmac is not looking to even drive. i think most of it is that he's still not healthy. but a part of it is most likely due to the fact that he wants to FULLY rest himself AS HE'S PLAYING. this will help his stamina and endurance. when the playoffs rolls around, he'll be healthy and in shape to do what he needs to do.

right now, he's doing just enough for us to win. when we need him desperately to pull games out (minny/bucks), he'll do that. but the last 3 games, we don't need him to score big to win big.

He did for one quarter. I wish he will play the whole game like that. This team will be awesome.

If we all pitched in and bought you Rubick's Cube, or Pong, could you do that, instead post stupid threads around here? Dumb is what controls your game.

Oh, yeah, the Rockets are playing great. Shut it up, whiners.

T-Mac will get better and the All Star Break will very good for his health. I am glad he will be able to relax and be ready to make a strong push towards the playoffs.

There's no quit in you haters, is there?

If he scores 35 points, he's ballhogging and dominating the ball. He's disrupting the offense.

If he lays back, adapts to the system, facilitates and the Rockets win in dominating fashion, he has lost his game and doesn't care.

Keep on sipping on that haterade, all the way to the grave.

He's trying to temper his own scoring to get everyone involved and keep the ball moving. That's fine. But when he does take shots, he need to make sure they are high quality. Too often, he tends to drift on the perimeter with the ball in his hands. I wish he was more aggressive looking for seams in the defense. He's a much more effective player inside 20 feet. I can only recall two plays in which he tried to penetrate the defense.

Tmac didn't shoot well and didn't play well. He wasn't involved a lot. However, JeopardE is correct. You can't say we want Yao to be the man or we want Adelman offense and then expect Tmac to be Lebron or Kobe.

Tmac will have to adapt to Adelman's offense. He seems reluctant to cut. Bottomline is he's not trying as hard as he can. Some of it is other guys are playing well and some of it is that he doesn't want to get injured again as we make a run to the playoffs.

Moron, this is how people were crying for him to play so the team could win. Guess what, we're winning. Who cares about Tmac's individual stats or what he's not doing right in your eyes. He said at the beginning of the season he doesn't care about his stats so why should you? He's making the passes within the offense for this team to win (in a blowout mind you) and playing decent D. Even when the team is winning, people aren't happy. Amazing. Houston sure does have some terrible fans.

Dude, we're winning. Nobody cares about fancy dunks as long as we're scoring and winning. A dunk is only worth 2 points.

He attacked the basket a few times in the 2nd half.

Amen brotha! Weren't people posting a few weeks ago that T-Mac has to get used to playing in Adelman's system, and T-Mac need to dominate the ball on offense will hurt the team, and that we're better off without him? Now we're winning because T-Mac has mostly adapted to the system and people are claiming that he is past it and he is sucking because he's NOT dominating the ball and he ISN'T dunking all the time. Amazing. I guarantee that if he had dropped 50 points there were have been posts by people claiming that he is disrupting the offense because he has to dominate the ball.

    Wrong.

A dunk is worth much more than 2 points.
