Yao's rebounding is not as bad as it looks. He did give up
some rebounds to his teammates. Actually Rox holds a rebounding advantage of 3 against opponent since Yao
came in. Before that Rox is outrebounded by 1 -2 rbs.

Both Olajuwon and Sampson had more FG attempts. Malone had about half as many. Don't think I get your point. And I wasn't being critical of Yao... not from my perspective. Can't anyone say anything about the guy without parsing every detail? You want detail? Malone averaged 15 rebounds a game in his second year and scored more points on less than half the attempts. Think he got to the line? And why would that be? Aggression.

You should be talking about what Yao can do to make the Rockets an elite team if you're a big fan. Have an open mind.

Malone was the best rebounding big man. Yao probably can only
    dream about that.

Yao should get two more free throws.

    second year stats(per game)
    FGA Free throw attempt
    Hakeem 1188/68 = 17.5 538/68 = 7.9
    Sampson 1499/82 = 18.3 448/82 = 5.5
    Malone 828/59 = 14 443/59 = 7.5
    Ming 1093 / 87 = 12.5 463/87 = 5.3

Yao needs to do a better job drawing fouls and he needs to start getting some calls. He's overdue. He improved at getting to the line this season and I hope that's something that gets a lot better next year.

Moses and the Dream were great at drawing fouls... Moses especially. Some players make it an art form. :)
