    Which remind me of this article from last Dec. I'm somewhat tired of continuing shopping for electricity provider every 6M just to get decent rates.

    It seems consumers in the part of TX that remain regulated, on avg, pay much lower for electricity.

    The internet is the electrical wiring, it's not even power generation. The wires aren't deregulated. Is the basic cost everyone sees as a line item on their deregulated electric bill, the same for every company .

    All deregulation did was add a layer of middle men between the people who make electricity and the people who use it. 48 (literally) different companies with their own accounting dept., lawyers, meter readers etc. and somehow it's supposed to be cheaper? Baffling.
