Well first, McGrady needs to finish the play instead of trying to start the play...Having said that we will need a near All-Star calibur player at the point guard position (Create own shot, good FG percentage, play-maker)

Next the power forward positon must be shored up with the type of player that can run the floor, get close to 10 rebounds, knock down the middle distance jumper.

Need more penetration from a player the size of T-Mac or Shane! Because I truely believe it is the offense that has our record looking so bleek, not the defense like most will point out. We need to be scoring around 101 every night!

No doubt we have many talents who can do everyting, when they all try their best under the RA's system. it needs time to transfer from JVG to RA style, just practice more

just curious why you think that those shots are his highest percentage. do you have info on that? i just glanced at 82games.com and it shows t-mac's fg% actually being higher between after 16 seconds has been used on the shot clock. it goes from 46.5% eFG% in the first 16 seconds to about 49.8% eFG% in the last 8 seconds of the shot clock. not as significant as i thought but it is still better.

When there are 21 seconds or more, he shoots 50% EFG.

When there are are 16-20 seconds, he shoots over 49%. Then the rest of the clock he shoots approx. 46% EFG.

i think it is the other way around. it is shot clock usage not time on the shot clock. so i believe those numbers are for seconds used off of the shot clock. for example if you look at yao then it shows 15% of his shots occurred with 21+ seconds off the clock. there is no way in the world that they are meaning he has taken the shot with only 3 seconds running off the shot clock.

also, if you look at steve nash then you will see that he takes 48% of his shots with 0-10 seconds running off the shot clock. again there is no way in the world that he is taking 48% of his shots with less than 10 seconds on the shot clock.

Whoops, looked it up and the site says-

" the shot clock times represent the elapsed seconds before the shot is taken,
and reflect the relative speed of shot-taking by teams. "

    They made it confusing.

let me break down ur points

    1. scola is good , but it is hard for a rookie to be developed that fast.
scola is learing the NBA rules, and his role changed from Agentina team.
    2. again, you can't judge a rookie by one or two good games, for his size, weakness on defense end is clear.
    3. when he drops another 20K, we will make it.
    4. maybe u need to rehire JVG back. the RA system need yao to shot mid range shooting more. plus, i don't think RA has that expenerice on great center who has great game on low post
    5. if tmac did, you probably blame his injuries on next post

Seems to me like the team is just getting more comfortable both with each other and with Adelman's system. T-Mac being out, in my opinion, helped in that they did not have the big scorer to rely on (other than Yao), so when teams took away the first option, they had to execute. I'm hoping to see the team get better and better as the season progresses.

i think once yao is comfortable in mixing up his offensive moves, in terms of his mid ranged game, i think his % will obviously go up. the thing that annoys me is that the rockets depend too heavily on yao and tracy for offense. i understand they're the core of the team and everyone else is basically the structure of the team but dang it if they just seem like they're hoping tracy and yao go on a tear EVERY game. come on fellas, take some stress off of our superstars and contribute offensively!!!!!!!!!!!
