Ah was just wondering about that as well, thanks for the answer! You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to The_Yoyo again.

Apparently when that happens, you don't get any rep points. I got a rep with a grey dot, and my total number of rep points stayed the same.

So do you get a rep when they get a green bar?

I'm curious about that. If I knew who left it, I could scope that out. I guess if my number jumps up without an actual new rep, I can confirm it.

Didnt want to make a new thread, but is there anyway that we can find out who repped us if they didnt mention it themselves? I would like to know who repped me and Im sure many other people feel the same way. I just think it would be nice to see who enjoys your post, since most of the people who have repped me havent left their names.

If they didn't sign their rep or post that they repped you, then no, there aren't any member feature to see who repped you. I'm pretty sure Clutch has an admin feature to see who repped who, not sure if the other mods have this feature.

Anyone have a problem w/ the re-rep limit? I understand why it's there, and I don't have a perfect solution...but there's some people I would've repped 5 more times by now just because of their quality of posts and can't because I need to 'spread it around.'

So now I've been a little more liberal w/ reps just to rep the original people I intended to. Anyone prefer a lowering of the re-rep limit? Was I just too stingy w/ reps beforehand? Am I defeating the purpose and should revert back to waiting until I eventually 'spread it around?' Does anyone else read something sexual in the phrase 'spread it around' and feel weird constantly repeating it in a post?

I am just realizing that I have been receiving points since the rep feature started. but without the ability to give out points, I haven't been paying any attention until I looked at my CP, I noticed many of the questions being asked here apply to my profile (neutral rep, how many points etc...)

not all contributing members can give rep, for the record.

It just means you were repped by somebody who is lame and had good intentions, but sadly their rep was worthless on the points scale.

So grey squares are worthless? What if that person becomes a green square?
