He will play from day 1. 21 ppg, 5 ast, 4 rbs, 43% fg, and 30 mpg. All-star starter because of fan voting.
If you build your entire team to cover for the weakness of a player he will look better. Still not elite, because he would still be an inefficient volume shooter. The biggest problem I have with Kobe is that he is not capable to adapt to his teammates. He plays the same when his teammates are Smush Parker and Luke Walton, Kwame Brown compared to when his teammates are Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol and Steve Nash.
He's not going to be able to cut and move as well as he used to which will directly impact his ability to create space. Nash's ability to create offense will directly effect how well and how effectively Kobe will be able to score. Who knows how well Kobe's shot will be because his release is going to be hindered by his injury.
Not serious at all. He might come back to be better. LA be lying about his injuries just to make that cry baby tough. Don't get wrong, I like his clothing and shoes. Real good material.
I'm not a fanboy of Kobe... but his work ethic is superb. I don't think anyone should think he'll be any short of how he played last year. I personally feel he'll be better, and with the no tension lane with D.Howard not there anymore, Kobe will be Kobe again. Anyone agree?
He'll still be a dick, that's for sure. He's gonna be nowhere near as good as he used to be but in his mind, he'll probably think that he's even better. Takes lot's of bad shots, plays no D, Lakers lose, blames everyone else, throws a b**** fit.
Nique avg'ed 18 and 6.4 at 37. Not too shabby considering he ruptured his Achilles tendon also and coming in and out of the NBA. But i think he ruptured his in his early 30s and still avg'ed like mid 20's or so..
This sounds about right. If he really is coming along as fast as they say he is my guess is that the thing that will suffer the most is his lift. Kobe still has enough footwork and a good enough jump shot to get his shot off even if he can't rise above his defender. You probably won't see him finish at the rim as often but if he's healthy enough to run up and down the court he'll get his 20 a game.
He's going to win the most votes for player most likely to be strangled by teammates in the locker room.
still don't see how one can say that he "sucked" last year. he was still a top 10 player in the league. (for the record, harden had a worse assist/turnover ratio that him). I would also say harden definitely played worse defense than him. He's not the best player in the league anymore but to say he sucked last year is a stretch
The disdane for Kobe on this board is hilarious. and the terrible comments that the hate produces is even funnier.
