Well at least you see the potential in Hawes.

They would love to get rid of Brand, even though hes suddenly as productive as they had hoped when they first signed him... but I think the prerogative is to save money (i.e. get under luxury) and unloading Nocioni, whos burried under all their other wings, is the next best way.

Speights is inconsistent but he's also a sticking point in trades as they clearly see potential in him too. Hawes was unloaded for Samuel Dalembert and Speights has started ahead of Hawes... This shows that Hawes is ultimately a raw athelete but he truly showed his potential when playing for Adelman. We can unlock his value in Houston the way no one else can.

I think I remember Hawes having a career night against Yao a couple years ago-- or maybe that was a nightmare?

Why do yall think Spencer sucks? He's a great passer for a big man. Reminds me alot of a young brad miller. .

Ben Wallace isnt himself after he stopped shooting steroids. Perkins has been passed by two, one-legged O'Neals and a Big Baby. Varejao is a cross between Brazilian Sideshow Bob and hobo's Joakim Noah. Okafors contract is an automatic franchise killer and his injury history suggests him as being anything but tough and hardnosed.

The only two players that mean anything to their team are Joakim Noah and NeNe on that list you provided. As far as tough and hardnosed defender, I think Noah is the only one and hes still a stick by historic standards.

Also, he has very good post moves. he's very skilled. However, he's not very athletic.

Soft and unathletic but skilled, with post moves and passing acumen. Sounds familiar.

Even if he were healthy, I doubt he would break 15 minutes a night. Why not list Brendan Haywood and Erick Dampier on your list of people you would love to have on this team.

I would take Hawes over all those guys in a minute

No offense but that is probably the most ignorant thing I have read this week.

About Kendrick Perkins? Why is that? He has Shaq, Glen Davis and Jermaine O'Neal to compete with. Why is that so ignorant?

    Tyson Chandler
    Joakim Noah
    Kendric Perkins
    Blake Griffin
Cousins (a bit early but he's shown flashes of big man dominance)
    Bogut
    Roy Hibbert

I actually think this is a very good idea. I think Hawes is gonna surprise some people in the league. The guy is improving his game.

With out reading this entire thread, has anyone suggested targeting Emeka Okafor?

He is a double / double machine. He is exactly what we are looking for on the defensive end of the court. He rebounds well, blocks shots, is an exceptional defender and he can flat out protect the paint and basket. He is everything we hope Jordan Hill develops into some day.

Last year it was said that NOH wanted to unload him for salery reasons. He is over paid but he could bring to the Rockets the same thing Tyson Chandler brought to the Mavericks. With Yao's exception we have the ability to offer a lot of salery relief to NOH while giving them someone like Jordan who has shown promise this season.
