How do you stream Netflix, Hulu, HBO GO, etc to your TV. And what works best for you and why?

    Roku 2 XS - I use a wired connection

I want to upgrade to the newer generation but I have no reason to. It's worked perfectly.

I have a Chromecast but I never use it.

I use a nice Sony Blu-Ray player with built in wi-fi. I was using my Xbox 360 but I let my Live expire and they didn't support streaming if you didn't have a Gold membership. They recently changed this so I will probably go back to using just that.

I have a mac mini that starts XBMC fullscreen. I've also been looking at an android HDMI stick to do the same thing on my other TVs.

Depending on the TV and what I want to stream, I use the chromecast, PS3, Wii, or built in apps on the tv. Good wireless router goes a long way.

I use the PS4. I actually keep a free HDMI cord plugged into the TV that I can use to connect to my laptop from time-to-time. Mostly for HBOGO. I find it's the fastest, most reliable way to get the job done. There's also a mini-HDMI available for the tablet.

Wireless audio is done through wifi. Handy for Spotify.

From what I've read/seen Roku or Chomecast (depending on what you want) are the best options available for most folks. I also feel like Smart TV's are a ripoff.

Chromecast mostly. I have one at work and 2 at home. It's easy for the 'rents to use. One button push and their content is on the big screen. No remotes to fuss with. Use it for netflix, HBOgo, Hulu, watchespn, youtube, plex, and photo and video streaming from G+.

I have a roku in the living room that got replaced with a Chromecast because the parents didn't really know how to work it.

Same here! I didn't anticipate it, but they definitely love using it (along with their android tablet).

I, however, prefer to use my desktop to stream since it is already hardwired and allows more options than my XBOX or chromecast.

I prefer to use anything hardwired as well. I used to use my PS3 to stream stuff because it's hardwired and I don't want any quality drops or data interruptions because of wireless. PS3 is dead now. how do you control your desktop remotely? keyboard mouse? I use Unified remote on my phone and tablet.
