Nash doesn't even come close to magi,Isiah, john stockton, maurice cheeks, michael ray richardson etc. Todays' nba no touch rules give nash a big advantage + zoen defenses and all the other junk rules in today's game.

Back in the day there was clear cut hand checking on the verge of mugging somebody. It was extremely physical and you had to guard them big point guards in Dennis johnson, magic johnson, michael ray richardson, george gervin, robert reid, reggie theus, Lewis Lloyd, otis birdsong etc etc. Yesterdays game steve nash wouldn't be able to withstand the rigor of those rules and physical play. In this era he can glyde by defenders with illegal screens and no hand checking rules. He can hide on defense by playing in a zone or some junk Defense. We are talking about two different era's of basketball where one era nash would be another steve alford or jerry sitchtings or a complimetary rol player.

First thing, you cant really say one player passes better than another. On occasions im sure T-mac could pull of the passes Nash does. You can say one player has better eye-hand co-ordination and skills, but who's to say or judge. Secondly, you cant compare PG's or for that fact any player, from different eras. They played against different players, teams and atmospheres. The game has changed alot and therefore you cant compare. One thing you may be able to compare and its still a little dodgy is the impact that player had on his team

I disagree. Magic was the better all-around player, but I believe Stockton was the better point guard. He set the table better than anyone else.
