RocksMillenium is absolutly right: 1. Spurs 2. Mavs 3. Rockets And all 3 make the playoffs. Hopefully Rocket River is right, too (steals). I think we'll lead the league in scoring, myself. But as far as the scope of this thread goes, two points: 1) Twin Towers, and 2) Dirk Nowitski. The Twin Towers will eventually fall. Admiral is getting old, and Timmy IS going to abandon ship when the Admiral is no longer in command. They've got two more years by my estimation, and they will spend both of them at the top (in Texas, anyway). Spurs on top of Dallas and Houston for 2 more years, in case that's too complicated. Houston could easily surpass Dallas as #2 Texas team during that time. Dallas could just as easily hold it. These two teams are actually pretty similar (in lineup/matchup), except for one name I already mentioned: Dirk Nowitski. Quite clearly, we don't have one. 1 - Francis to Nash 2 - Mobley to Finley 3 - Rice to Nowitski 4 - Taylor to Howard 5 - Bradley to Cato/TBD I'm all for the aquisition of Rice; I think it'll be impossible for many teams to defend against. It never hurts to have a proven scorer at the 3... But Nowitski will trash Rice. Finley and Cat will trade shots, with Finley coming out on top. The 4-5 positions will go back & forth (if Cato is awake). Steve will win his position. Dallas v Houston games will be this year's absolute "must-see" games. They're going to be exciting. I wonder how we'll deal with Dirk? (Griffin)
Don't be to quick to give Dirk a huge advantage over Rice! One of Rice's underrated abilities is being able to put the ball on the floor, something he couldn't do in LA, but hopefully he can get back to do in Houston!
