Maybe I should have said my former boss. She was promoted last month. Her sexuality was never an issue.
I've never made an issue of my sexuality at a job interview, I don't know why anyone else would. Being gay isn't like being black, people can't tell just be looking at you. It is more like being a {insert political affiliation here}, no one will know for sure unless you talk about it, and it has no place being talked about in most job interviews. If you want to characterize that as hiding, that is fine, I like to think of it as acting professional. I'm not hiding anything by refraining from cursing or talking about boobs in a job interview, I am just behaving appropriately.
