How do you have Durant on your team and you can't run plays for him

Ime is a really good coach, but it should shock nobody that offensively he isn't a genius. You want an offensive minded coach then like D'Antoni, or Adelman you typically have players brought in to that system offensively who cannot perform at a high level on the other end.

And Durant has never been a true PG. He's a guy who scores in the half court, but you have to get him the ball first. He's not a player like Harden, or Iverson where you just have to inbound to him, and that's pretty much it.

Game 1 was a really good preview of what the playoffs would look like with the type of defense OKC was playing. It's less about coaching with this offense and more about the roster where we are relying on our freaking center to bring the ball up the court often when the defense is playing at that high of a level.

Ime's coaching on offense is "okay" if we are able to make a trade for another decent ball handler who can bring the ball up, and get us into sets or if Amen and/or Reed can grow into that role. Amen I thought did an okay job for really his first game ever as a PG, and I was pleasantly surprised. Reed on the other hand look like a child playing with men. I was kind of embarrassed for him honestly. Guy is just way too small, and does not have the ball handling chops that elite PG's have.

So long story short... I'm not worried about Ime... I think it's on Stone to find a deal out there for some ball handling help. A veteran who can get the ball up the court, and get us into our sets when Amen is out, face guarded, or struggling.

Where’s D’Antoni these days? Bring him in as an assistant.

lol no it's not when you are talking about a team without a star that played a bunch of 21 and 22 year olds heavy minutes. Would making the second round v. the first last season changed much? No, because we weren't contenders. Now, if we get bounced in the first this season, feel free to complain.

It was pretty clear that the chemistry isn't where it needs to be right now, but that's to be expected. 20 games from now, I'd expect that to be a LOT better....and even last night it was nearly enough to topple the reigning champs at home right after their ring ceremony. I don't think there's anything to worry about.

Brother needs to have gotten over his allergy to working with weights 15 years ago.

Also I'm thinking back to his praise and love for Ime after the trade, and how all he talked about was how great he was at coaching defense... Crickets on his approach to offense, pretty much.
