That is kinda ghey, IMO, but of course I have no trouble saying "i love u" to a true friend, in a non-gay kinda way...There is that akwardness, but in the end, its good to have close friends...I would have no trouble saying this to a girl who is just a friend...
Yeah my friend everytime we hang up on the phone he says okay man later, i love you dude. Kind of awkward...
It's like the difference between a "real" hug and a "man" hug. A real hug is the kind given to relatives, girlfriends or other guys ONLY when in a very emotional moment - death in the family, winning the Super Bowl, hitting a game winning shot, etc. A "man" hug is the kind where you shake hands and hug with the off arm. That's acceptable as a greeting or a goodbye. I think "I love you" is fine as long as it is extremely casual ("I love you, man" with a laugh) or in an emotional moment ("You're like a brother to me...I love you"). Saying it too often can get a little strange...not that there's anything wrong with that.
I love you, Jeff I love you, Jeff I love you, Jeff I love you, Jeff I love you, Jeff I love you, Jeff I love you, Jeff I love you, Jeff I love you, Jeff I love you, Jeff I think it's pretty funny how we allow ourselves to feel the fear emotion, when love expressed. Could it be related to trust, such as: I don't trust this guy and how he wants my kick-ass love. Maybe he hasn't earned it yet. -OR- I don't trust myself. Too much of this and I might have to mount this awesome man. It's just not a very common thing among guys. Too many things on the outside have prevented us from sharing mutual feelings. It's tough to do it, while maintaining the macho disposition. Guy#1: I love you, man Guy#2: Coo I blame MTV
I knew several guys at my old church that would tell each other they loved them. "Brothers in Christ"..."I love you so much"...yada yada.

You can always say "back atcha, kid". Thats what I said to the last guy I wasn't dating who said it to me. I dunno guys are weird about expressing love. I say "love ya babes" to my friends all the time but then I'm a girl so its not really that weird.
JD: You know what? I'm gonna take you out tonight. Yes, Sir!! We're gonna get some dinner, we get a nice bottle of wine... Turk: Sounds like you´re asking me out on a man date. JD: Turk, why are you so afraid of loving me? Just let it flow.... <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/HTGv8xTByio"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/HTGv8xTByio" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
